Description of the walk

The starting point and car park are located on the square behind the church, in the village of Queyssac-les-Vignes.

(S/E) From the car park, head towards the town hall. Without reaching the main road, turn right, north-east, onto a path before a house. The descent can be slippery in wet weather. Cross two streams and a ford and join a road leading to the hamlet of La Queyrille.

(1) Turn left onto the tarmac road for a few metres, then turn right onto a path that leads through the woods alongside a stream. You will come to a wide path.

(2) After crossing a small bridge, follow the Palsou along a wide stone path until you reach a fork before Le Blancou.

(3) Make a short detour to see the rural hamlet of Blancou and the Croix de Guillou. Return to the fork, climb to the left, heading north, and arrive at a fork.

(4) Continue to the right, pass under the power line and join a road. Continue straight ahead on this road. Pass a road on your right.

(5) In the left-hand bend in the road, before the Croix du Sauveur, turn right onto a grassy path. Further on, you will come to a road; turn left onto it.

(6) Panoramic view with: Turenne in the distance, Queyssac below and the Lot.
Continue along the road and before reaching the car park behind the church (S/E).
From this car park behind the church: panoramic view towards the Château de Castelnau (Lot), the hamlet of La Queyrille inthe foreground and the hamlet of Goudeaux inthe background.

A short, shaded country walk along paths through woods and fields. Few sections on tarmac roads.
Very pleasant in hot weather, as was the case for me in August.
Beautiful view from the village of Queyssac Les Vignes.

This route is very pleasant and accessible to most hikers. I have done it myself and often take participants there, who are always delighted. It is not crowded, but is used regularly.

A peaceful route through the woods, passing through a narrow valley and old hamlets. The path is surrounded by old dry stone walls. Perfect.

A short hike, mostly through the forest, in the shade. It's a shame there was no water in the stream.
One or two hamlets that are of some interest in terms of their buildings.
Queyssac les Vignes is a pretty little village with a beautiful view of the valley.
