Start from the car park (pay-and-display) located along the D38 above the village.
(S/E) From the car park, cross the D38 and head down the road opposite, towards La Serre and La Gondronne.
(1) At the bottom of the street, take a short detour first to the left then right. Stroll through the various streets of the village to explore it. At the end of your visit, walk down the main street (Rue de la Barrière) to the southern exit of the village (Y-junction).
(2) Turn left onto theGR® (signposted Saillac – 12th-century church – 2km). At the first Y-junction, keep right.
(3) Shortly after an old wash house, situated below and to the right of the road and before the hamlet of La Souteyrie, take theGR® to the right. This runs alongside an orchard, then goes round the back of a few houses and climbs slightly, leading onto a tarmac path opposite a chestnut orchard. Turn right, pass through the hamlet of Couzedoux, leave theGR® and look for the start of a path on the right, about a hundred metres before a farm building on the left of the road (before the hamlet of Le Treuil).
(4) Turn onto this path, which descends to the right of the road and passes behind the house. Follow it down until you reach the tarmac road and continue down this road.
(5) At the bridge, continue uphill towards the village and rejoin the main street of Collonges-la-Rouge.
(2) Walk up the main street to the D38, turn right and head for the car park (S/E).
