Start from the car park in front of Meyssac secondary school or the rugby stadium car park a little further down. Both car parks are free.
(S/E) From the secondary school car park, walk down towards the rugby stadium and follow the road.
(1) At the top of the hill, ignore the road on the left and the Chemin des Cils on the right (which will be the return route) and continue straight on for 100 m towards Le Peyret. Leave the road and take a grassy path on the left which leads to the Route du Peyret, which you should follow straight on for about 100 metres. At the bend, leave the road and take the path slightly to the left until you reach the Combarel road.
(2) Cross Route de Combarel and turn right onto Chemin de Peyrelade (paved at the beginning). Continue along this path until you reach the crossroads.
(3) Turn slightly left onto Route de Combarel and follow it for 50 metres, leaving the tarmac Peyrelade path and the small path on the left.
(4) At the crossroads with the Combarel road, turn left and then immediately right onto Chemin des Yssials. After 900 m, this leads to a wide path which you should follow straight ahead. Pass a semi-buried water tank and continue to the three-way junction. Go straight ahead towards the water tank and continue for 250 metres.
(5) At the three-way junction, after the wooden-clad shed, turn left. Follow this path for 450 metres and cross the small road to follow the path opposite towards Bois Vidal.
(6) At the buildings, turn left (GR®480+GRP®) and look for the sundial in the corner of the barn on the left. Continue to the next crossroads (wooden sculpture).
(7) Take the path on the left, leaving theGR® andGRP®. Cross the road and continue straight ahead on Chemin des Ardaillasses (tarmac). Cross the hamlet of Les Ardaillasses and pass the barn with the ruined roof, which is home to around a hundred pigeons.
(8) At a right-hand bend, leave the road and take the narrow path opposite (yellow markings). This leads to a wide gravel path which you should follow to the right, ignoring a small path on the right. You will come back to the crossroads you passed on the way out.
(4) Cross the road and take the small path opposite. (Note the iron cross to the right of the path entrance). Descend to a small road and turn left. Turn right at the crossroads and follow the road for 50 metres.
(9) Take the gravel path on the left. At the three-way junction, continue to the right to return to the first crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Descend to the left towards the car park (S/E).
