Cornimont walks

A short family walk, ideal for warming up or getting started. The route offers a beautiful view of the centre of Cornimont and the gigantic statue of Notre-Dame de la Paix, which overlooks the village from the other side of the Xoulces valley. The icing on the cake is that part of the path is lined with a few works of art.

The Lady of Cornimont – over 70 years old and weighing 12 tonnes of bronze – stands proudly at the top of her tower overlooking Cornimont. Erected in 1952, following a vow made in 1940 that the town would be spared during the hostilities, the monument was restored in 2021, and Notre-Dame has changed from a white robe to an ochre-gold one: what a rebirth!The walk starts from the small car park, situated near the Monument to the Moroccan Riflemen, and climbs to the Col du Brabant, beforebranching off towards the Roche de Minuit.The route to Notre-Dame de la Paix takes you past a sheepfold and along a few tree-lined, rather rugged paths (with plenty of ups and downs).There are beautiful panoramic views at the start, over the forested Ventron massif, and on the return journey, over the Chajoux valley, beyond La Bresse, towards Lake Lispach, the Moselotte valley between La Bresse and Cornimont, as well as the site of the Pierre des 4 Communes.

A trail offering numerous views of the surrounding peaks. A special mention goes to the viewpoint at Haut du Roc, which offers a panoramic view of the Moselotte Valley stretching as far as Remiremont, not to mention the Tables de Charlemagne.

A very pleasant walk with multiple viewpoints along the route. It will take you to the rocky summit of Haut du Roc, which rises to an altitude of 1,012 metres, an ideal place for a break, with a magnificent panorama over the Moselotte Valley as far as Remiremont. 

This is a beautiful hike, which can be done in a day, starting from the Ventron-Frére Joseph ski resort. Mostly in the forest, it will allow you to discover the Rochelotte area and the magnificent view from the Tête des Champs. There are three shelters along the route where you can eat and take a break.

Panoramic walk on the Hauts de La Bresse and Cornimont. Wide paths for the most part, 200 metres of paved road. A walk to enjoy with the family and "brave little walkers".

Overlooking the upper Moselotte valley, you will discover the secrets of the high-altitude peat bogs nestled in the Rondfaing fir forests. The return trail, which runs along a balcony, offers superb views all the way to the end, especially in autumn. This is a very easy hike, accessible to all, including children.

A beautiful getaway in the heights of Bresse and the Chajoux Valley. Superb panoramic views, especially at Les Champis. Lake Lispach, the beautiful Rouge Feigne peat bog, and Grouvelin are the highlights, but every turn in the trails and paths will make you love this picturesque region of the Hautes-Vosges even more.

This magnificent circular hike starting from La Bresse will allow you to discover an infinite variety of landscapes: Lac des Corbeaux, Étang de Sèchemer, Col de la Vierge, the Roche du Lac viewpoint (after two mountain huts) to reach Col du Brabant and its ski area, and finally head back to La Bresse via a splendid route through the Planot-Paris Arboretum. Classified as difficult solely due to its length: 22 km.

A very beautiful, shaded hike through a magnificent forest of hundred-year-old beech trees, with views of the Chaume des Vintergés and the Chaume du Grand Ventron viewpoint, overlooking the ridges (Markstein, Grand Ballon and Alsace).
