(S/E) From the swimming pool, ice rink and tourist office complex in La Bresse (centre), follow the Moselotte river upstream.
(1) When you reach the bridge over the Moselotte, follow the André Rizzi trail (signposted near the bridge with a green triangle) on the right. Go up Rue des Proyes for about 100 m, then take the path on the left near a garage. Follow it and join the Route des Bouchaux, then find the trail on the right and then on the left between two hedges. When you reach the Route des Bouchaux again, continue for about 300 m.
(2) When you reach a hairpin bend, take the path closed by a gate on the right (note that there are several gates like this on this path, so make sure you close them behind you). Continue along the path (green triangle) to the pass and the small Chapelle du Brabant chapel.
(3) Next, climb up towards the Brabanthière restaurant and, at the car park, take a rocky path (GR®533, marked with a green rectangle) and join the Chemin Mansuy. Follow it, passing in front of the old Rachute farm.
(4) Pass a shelter with a water point (where you can take a break). You will then arrive at the Collet Mansuy, where a memorial stone commemorates the death of a young logger in 1978. Next, take a path (marked with yellow rings) to the magnificent viewpoint of the Roche du Lac des Corbeaux. This path is quite technical, so take care.
(5) Then descend towards Lac des Corbeaux, a 9-hectare glacial lake located at an altitude of 887 metres, following the yellow rings.
(6) Walk around the lake on a beautiful shaded path (optional).
Go down the road opposite the dyke for about 1 km.
(7) Take the path (marked with a green triangle) on the right at the first bend and follow it to the Haut des Bluches campsite. Follow the road on the left to the D34, which you cross.
(8) 50 m further down, take the small road on the right. After about 100 m, you will see a path on the right (marked with blue horseshoe signs). Follow it until you reach a fork with another path (marked with red triangle signs).
(9) Climb up to the left until you reach Chemin Grandemange. Follow this path to Moyenmont. There, follow the path (marked Triangle Rouge) to Roche Beuty and its beautiful view of La Bresse.
(10) Then rejoin theGR®533trail (marked with a green rectangle).
(11) Cross the Haule bridge and follow theGR® to La Bresse and return to the swimming pool via a pretty path along the Moselotte (S/E).
