Le Drumont from the Col d'Oderen
Straddling the Haut-Rhin and the Vosges (or Alsace and Lorraine), come and discover this original hike starting from the Col d'Oderen.
The fairly steep start is compensated for by the landscapes and superb panoramic views from the Tête de Fellering, as well as the Drumont orientation table.
Les deux Ventrons au départ du Col d'Oderen
The route takes you through a beautiful forest with a variety of tree species and alpine pastures. On a clear day, there are beautiful views of the Bernese Alps from the summit of Grand Ventron and Tête du Chat Sauvage.Ideal route in hot weather... but also in mixed weather as the trees provide some protection from the rain.
Le Drumont and Les Ventron from the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas
A fairly strenuous walk starting from the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas, heading to the Drumont and its magnificent viewpoint, then on to the Grand Ventron, before descending via the Kruth and Frenz dams. Magnificent views of the wild forests on the Alsatian side, the Ventron massif and, of course, several 360° views of the Vosges mountain range.
The Felsach Farm Inn from the Col d'Oderen
This beautiful circular route starting from the Col d'Oderen quickly takes hikers up onto the ridges towards the Felsach farmhouse inn. It then offers a superb panoramic descent to the Frenz resort (Kruth), followed by a climb back up to the pass via the valley floor through a charming old mountain forest.

From the Chalet de Rouge Mousse to the Cabane des Champis
Starting from the Chalet de Rouge Mousse, the route takes you to Lac des Corbeaux, then via the GR®533 to La Roche Beauty (viewpoint), and on to Mont Moyenmont (alt. 969 m) to reach La Chaume des Champis and its hut.
Markstein – Petit Ballon – Linthal
Take the time to admire the landscapes and views that make this second day’s walk so special. The route follows the ridges for the most part, leading to the Petit Ballon via the Klintzkopf. Once again, you’ll be able to fully enjoy the panoramic views over the plains and valleys on either side of the mountain. This route, which passes through forests and stubble fields, will allow you to discover the richness of the local flora.
Hahnenbrunnen Pass and Uff Rain from Langenwasen
A lovely climb towards the Vosges ridge along the River Pfahlrunz, with a stop at a charming little lake (unnamed). Lots of remarkable trees. Then an easy walk along theGR®5along the ridge before heading towards the farm inns at Salzbach and Uff Rain, with panoramic views of the Vosges peaks.
From Lac de Blanchemer to the Chalet de Rouge Mousse
Starting from Lac de Blanchemer, the route follows theGR®531, taking you via the Rainkopf (alt. 1,305 m), before descending towards the Tourbière de Machais, the Col de Bramont and the Étang de Sèchemer to reach the Chalet de Rouge Mousse.
From Lac de Blanchemer to Lac de Longemer
Second stage of this hike with bivouac. This time, Lac Lalande, Lac de Retournemer, Cascade Charlemagne and Cascade de Retournemer will be on your route, allowing you to discover magnificent colours.
Gsang towards the Hundsruck Pass
Return to the Hundrunck Pass via the summit of the Vogelstein.
Ballon d'Alsace - Chalet de l'Alouette
This beautiful route begins with two remarkable peaks in the Vosges and offers beautiful views of the upper Moselle valley, before reaching the Pays des Étangs.
From the Cabane des Champis to Lac de Blanchemer
Starting from Les Champis, the route passes through the Marécage Rouge Feigne, the Col de Thiaville (alt. 1,112 m), the Hohneck (alt. 1,363 m) and the Col du Wormspel (alt. 1,277 m) before descending towards Lac de Blanchemer.
Gérardmer – Honneck – Sotré
This second stage of the Gérardmer Mini-Trek links the Chalet des Champis to Petit Xonrupt, passing through some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Hautes-Vosges. After a descent into the Vologne valley, the route climbs back up to the heights of La Bresse-Hohneck, before reaching Lac de la Lande, the Schmargult farmhouse inn and the famous Route des Crêtes. The walk continues with a long descent past the Sotré mountain refuge, Lake Retournemer and the shores of Lake Longemer, before reaching the centre of Xonrupt-Longemer. A varied stage combining forests, high-altitude scree slopes, glacial lakes and remarkable panoramic views.
Ballon d'Alsace - Giromagny
This hike takes you down from Ballon d'Alsace to Giromagny. It is the continuation of the Vosges crossing, proposed by DNA, Passion Vosges and the Journal d'Alsace (see practical information). The first few kilometres are along the ridges, with views of the Black Forest, the Rhine Valley and even the Alps. During this same section, you may come across several ski resorts, such as La Chaumière and La Gentiane. A farmhouse inn at Wissgrut offers lunch. Further on, a shelter at the Col du Chantoiseau provides a place to picnic. The descent then continues, sometimes more steeply than others. The arrival in Giromagny offers views of the city of Belfort.
