This is the first stage ofthe GR®20in Corsica when travelling from north to south.
A difficult stage due to the significant elevation gain, and above all because it is the first day of a long series...
Circular three-village tour in Zilia
A circular hike that allows you to visit three villages in Balagne whilst taking in views of the Réginu and Montegrosso plains on both sides. With its wooded sections and magnificent views, this hike is a wonderful way to discover the region. In the background, the magnificent Montegrossu looms over the village of Zilia at the start.

This is the second stage ofthe GR®20when travelling from north to south.
Punta di Ficaghiola
This is a moderately difficult circular route, but you will need to wear suitable footwear. Two-thirds of the route is uphill, and the descent is a little "leg-breaking" and requires caution. You will find yourself in the heart of the Bonifatu massif, where the views are sublime. You can take in the landscapes at the start ofthe GR®20with views of the Ortu di u piobbu and Carrozzu mountain huts.
Ficaghjola loop
A family loop combining swimming and hiking. Set off to explore nature in the heart of the Bonifatu massif. Avoid in case of flood risk. The start of the Ficaghjola loop is at the bottom of the car park; first descend to the riverbank, then cross a footbridge before climbing up to the heights.

Bonifatu Two-Sides Circular Loop
Bonifatu, with its forest of pine and oak trees, is a great spot for swimming, as well as for walking and hiking. Here, I suggest a route that combines several circular loops, allowing you to explore different slopes.
Bonifatu Forest, on the banks of the Figarella
A very easy hike starting from the Bonifatu Forest House allows those who do not want to or cannot do one of the many more technical hikes starting from this magnificent spot to discover a preserved natural area. The walk follows the valley floor and is not difficult, but it offers beautiful views of the surrounding peaks with the possibility of swimming in the river below. However, access can sometimes be a little tricky.
Circular Finochi
Rated as a 4-hour hike by the ONF and part of the red route network in the Bonifatu forest, the Finochi circular crosses scrubland and pine forest. The route is shaded in the morning when taken in the direction shown, is suitable for all ages and is clearly marked with red signs.
