Calatoghju Circular Loop

Park in the large car park opposite the inn. In summer, there may be a charge.

(S/E) Return to the road, walk about 50 metres to the right, then turn left onto the path to reach a crossroads that marks the start of several circular loops.

(1) Follow the green trail marked Cataloghju and turn left to hike in the direction indicated in this description. Pass the ruins of Prince Pierre Bonaparte's house and continue to Bocca di u Calataghiu.

(2) Take the path on the right towards Calatoghju, following the green markings. Go around Punta Calatoghiu on the left and you will come to an intersection.

(3) Take the path on the right, still following the green markings. Ford the stream, which is often dry in summer, and you will return to the starting point.

(1) Turn left to return to the car park (S/E).

There is a fountain at the start of the hike.

During the summer, ONF agents in the gatehouse welcome visitors and provide information.

Below, the Figarella River is a great place for swimming in summer.

Several picnic tables are available at the start of this hike.

There is also an inn/restaurant on site.
