A very varied loop north of Bona, towards the highest point of the Monts du Nivernais (445m).
The Amognes Forest loop starting from Saint-Martin-d'Heuille
A very pleasant walk in the beautiful Amognes forest, starting from the village of Saint-Martin-d'Heuille. The walk is 90% in the shade. It can be done on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback.
Mont-et-Marré
A hike designed to showcase the small heritage of this commune in the Nièvre, located on either side of the Canal du Nivernais:
castles, beautiful farms and barns, wash houses and fountains, a beautiful variety of paths and panoramic views.
Saint-Révérien route
Start the hike with a visit to the Romanesque church of Saint-Révérien, a Cluniac site, then continue to the Gallo-Roman site of Compierre, where the remains of the city are still visible and explained.
After passing by ponds with the Montenoison hill in your sights, the path will take you to the village of Compierre, at the top of a hill dominated by a castle with a magnificent view at its foot.
The Rigole d'Yonne and 16 locks on the Canal du Nivernais
Set off to discover two magnificent engineering structures located in Nièvre in Burgundy: the Échelle de Sardy-les-Epiry on the Canal du Nivernais and the Rigole d'Yonne.
This walk follows the Canal du Nivernais along a greenway. You can admire a series of locks, 16 in total over a little more than 3 km. Your walk continues overlooking the canal, along the edge of the Rigole d'Yonne, which supplies the canal with water from Lake Pannecière.
Route des Chapelles de Brinon-sur-Beuvron
This hike in the Beuvron Valley is one of the most beautiful walks in the department.
This route follows the ridgeline, connecting the Chapels of Grenois and Hubans and the site of the Virgin Mary in Asnan. It offers beautiful views, especially in spring when the countryside is in bloom.
The descent of the 16 locks
A walk that first follows the Yonne river for several kilometres, then follows the descent of the 16 Collancelle locks.

A walk through forests and along the Yonne channel. A magnificent view of the Yonne valley from the aqueduct.
Bec d'Allier circulars
A hike that combines part of the circular Boucle des Mariniers and the Sentier du Bec d'Allier in the Cher with the Sentier du Passeur in the Nièvre. Information panels and bird observatories. View of the Bec d'Allier from the left bank, then from the right bank of the Allier with the double crossing of the Guétin canal bridge.
Canal Bridge and Allier Cape
A short, easy loop to discover the Guétin Canal Bridge over the Allier and the Bec d'Allier (confluence of the Loire and Allier rivers), starting from the village of Gimouille.
Circular route of the Château de Saulières and the Étang de l'Île
A very pleasant hike that passes at the foot of Toureau de Remondot (the highest point in the area), in the Saulières forest, near the Étang de l'Île, and ends by skirting the Château de Saulières and its chapel.
Circular route on the heights of Moulins-Engilbert
A beautiful escape at the gateway to the Morvan Regional Natural Park, along small paths, with landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see, white Charolais cattle and Morvan houses.
Grand tour of Montigny-en-Morvan
In Montigny-en-Morvan, there are several hikes. We did a combination of two hikes: Les rives du Petit Lac (12km) and Les Rives de Pannecière (8km).
En forêt autour de Cessy-les-Bois
Nestled at the bottom of the Talvanne valley, Cessy-les-Bois is classified as a Natura 2000 site due to the presence of two large bat colonies on its territory: the Greater Horseshoe Bat and the Geoffroy's Bat.
Along the first two kilometres of the hike, you will find information panels explaining this local feature. In addition, a booklet is available for purchase at the Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire reception point of the Bourgogne Cœur de Loire Tourist Office.

Circular Nivernais starting from Toury-Lurcy
A walk through the bocage landscape of the Nivernais region. Here, the hedges that border the meadows have been preserved, giving the surrounding countryside a certain charm. Throughout this circular route, you may see horses, donkeys and cattle grazing, the latter mainly of the Charolais breed.
The Étang de Boiré loop from Saint-Honoré-les-Bains
A rural, hilly hike that alternates between meadows and woodland. Some sections are paved but on low-traffic local roads. The Moulin des Garriaux and its picturesque pond, followed by the Étang Boiré, add to the appeal of this walk. If you love peace and quiet, you will love this hike.
Route d'Anthien
A hike on the edge of the Morvan Natural Park that will take you to Mont Sabot, at the top of which you will find a Romanesque chapel. Throughout the route, you will have views of the Yonne valleys and the Morvan mountains: Bion, Sabot and Bué.

Tour of the Étang du Goulot in Lormes
A short walk around the Étang du Goulot pond, located in the village of Lormes.
This is an easy walk on a well-maintained path: simply follow the path around the lake. There are picnic tables, benches, deckchairs and a fitness trail.
Sermentole and Asnois circular
Sermentole and its varied forest landscapes, followed by a visit to the charming village of Asnois with its Saint-Loup church, castle, wash house and swimming spot.
A corner of Morvan around Lormes
An easy route visiting the Narvau Gorges and Waterfall, several ponds, beautiful forests, and a few fields and pastures. We will finish with a visit to the church and the panoramic viewpoint of Mont Saint-Alban.Requires a good sense of direction and, if possible, the use of the GPX track.

Between natural heritage and remarkable architecture, exploring Donzy and Donzy-le-Pré will allow you to make some very pleasant stops: the wetlands, a shaded fitness trail, the ruins of a priory, or a well-deserved break at the Cabets watering hole where you can dip your feet in the water. Depart from the flower-filled village marked by the Nohain river, continue through nature with breathtaking views of the Bois de l'Éminence and return via the Commandeur district, which is sure to leave you dreaming... In short, a hike that has everything to charm you!
Near the fortified castle of La Motte Josserand
This route takes you back to the time of fortified castles and knights. Built on the marshy lands of Perroy, the Château de la Motte Josserand is one of the most beautiful military constructions of the Middle Ages in the Nièvre region, with its famous adventurer Perrinet Gressard who acquired the seigneury in the 15th century.
Soumard Fountain in Saint-Andelain
Set off to discover the traditional heritage of the wine-growing hamlets on the Saint-Andelain hill. Take the opportunity to visit the winegrowers of the Pouilly Fumé appellation and don't miss climbing to the top of the old water tower, now converted into a viewpoint, to see how far you've come and admire the view of the vineyards and the Loire.

Along the Cure river past the old bridge at Pierre-Perthuis
From the charming village of Cure, after crossing the Bois de l'Épenay, you arrive at the beautiful site of Pierre-Perthuis, with its 18th-century arched bridge overlooked by the more recent road bridge. You then climb up the River Cure through the undergrowth. A steep climb leads to a superb viewpoint over the valley. A diversion to the statue of Notre-Dame de la Lumière and another viewpoint precedes the descent to the starting village.
Around the hamlet of Usy
From the hamlet of Usy, and after crossing the Bois des Rompées, you will reach theGR® 13. The appeal of this route is the crossing of this pretty wood and the views of the landscape. There are no difficulties except for the small slope leading up to Notre-Dame de la Lumière. From this statue, there is a view of the Cure valley and the village of Cure.
Circular starting from Saint-Père
Hike starting from the small village of Saint-Père, with a visit to the stunning Notre-Dame church, a masterpiece of Burgundian Gothic architecture, passing by the two bridges of Pierre-Perthuis and the Pierre Percée site overlooking the Cure valley. On the way back, there is an alternative route along the Cure, then an ascent towards the vineyards with views of Vézelay.

This route allows you to discover part of the Vézelay vineyard. It covers 120 hectares in the communes of Asquins, Saint-Père, Tharoiseau and Vézelay. During this hike, you can enjoy numerous views of Vézelay Basilica and the Morvan countryside.And don't leave Saint-Père without visiting the church and the Salt Springs site.

This route allows you to discover part of the Vézelay vineyard. There are 120 hectares of vineyards in the communes of Asquins, Saint-Père, Tharoiseau and Vézelay. During this walk, you'll discover numerous viewpoints over the basilica and the town of Vézelay. Take the opportunity to visit the medieval village of Vézelay, its basilica and ramparts.

Discover the village of Saint-Loup-des-Bois, its inhabitants, the Saints-Lupéens, and the forests that surround it. You will pass by the Museum of Agricultural Machinery and Rural Life, which traces the history of agricultural machinery.
