Departure: Mont-et-Marré church
(S/E) Take the path behind the church on the left - 19th-century church, and below the church, the old presbytery.
Cross the road and take the path opposite on the right for 50 metres to the Etournelles wash house.
Retrace your steps, go down the road on the left to the canal - lock keeper's house, double lock.
Cross the canal bridge, then the bridge over the Alnain
(1). Turn right and just after the bend, leave the road on the left and turn right towards the hamlet of Bouron, with the wash house on the right and a former presbytery on the left.
Pass the cemetery on your right, where you will see the end of the path of the dead, which started in Marré before the canal was built.
Follow the path and climb into the woods
At a small clearing, the path turns right.
At the top, follow the edge of the woods to the left and you will come to a path between two fields.
(2) Turn right, with a view on the left of the villages of Montapas and Chevrenot.
Pass in front of the castle, then a large farm - Château de Mont on the right, dating from the 18th century, remodelled in the 19th century, with a double external staircase. - A ruined cottage on the left.
Turn right and head right to follow the D25 road to the canal.
(3) Turn right onto the canal embankment - Lock keeper's house, triple lock, overflow basin.
When the canal turns right, take the road on the left that leads to the hamlet of Perchenay. Cross it. - Wash house on the first grassy path on the right.
Well, bread oven, staircase, protruding masonry stones.
(4) At the crossroads in the hamlet, continue along the road to Mont et Marré - On the right, La Varenne farm, former seigneury.
Enter the village. - Entrance to the Chemin des Morts opposite the wash house, former typical school behind the town hall, forge.
Continue straight ahead to reach the church (S/E).
