Argelès - Collioure via the Sentier du Littoral coastal path and inland
A hike that allows you to follow the Sentier du Littoral (Coastal Path) on the way there, while enjoying steep passages overlooking the sea and the beauty of certain landscapes. Visit the heart of Collioure through its picturesque narrow streets to the church and the pier, then stroll along the seafront around the Royal Castle before climbing up to Fort Saint-Elme. Return to Collioure via the windmill before heading inland to Port-Argelès via Le Racou.

The Massane Tower from La Vall
Almost the entire hike is in the shade, under a forest of cork oak trees.
The slope is quite steep in the first part. The effort is rewarded by a beautiful 360° view from the tower.

Sant Ferriol - Castell d'Ultera - Mare de Déu del Castell from Sorède
Hike to discover the restored built heritage of Sant-Ferriol de la Pava and Mare de Déu del Castell and the ruins of Castell d'Ultera.
Do not underestimate this hike on uncomfortable and stony paths. The final ascent to the ruins of Castell d'Ultera from (4) to (7) is difficult and should only be attempted in dry weather. A metal ladder after (5) provides access to the ruins.
The Chemin de l'Eau and the Coll de la Plaça d'Armes from El Rimbau
This is a fairly difficult hike where a good sense of direction is necessary in places.

This hike can be done in reverse, which avoids the steep descent at the end of the route after the (12).

Madeloc Tower
Hike along the Albères mountain range, the easternmost part of the Pyrenees, to reach the Madeloc Tower.
After a few dozen difficult metres, the path to the tower offers a beautiful view of the Mediterranean coast. At the top, the panorama is unforgettable. You can see Collioure, Argèles-sur-mer, Banyuls-sur-mer, Port-Vendres, and even Spain across the Pyrenees mountain range.
The Torre de Madaloc loop (Coll de la Serra)
This hike takes you up to the Madeloc Tower and back via the water trail.

A challenging hike offering a variety of landscapes.The path along the border ridge offers views of the coastline below and the peaks in the distance.This hike is classified as very difficult because the climb is steep and you will have to cross torrents.The return journey is also steep and you will need to pay close attention to the cairns and old yellow markings.Note: This hike should only be attempted when there is no rain or thunderstorm forecast.
