Park in the municipal car park in Valmy d'Argelès-sur-Mer.
(S/E) Go down the road to the stop sign. Then turn left and follow the signs for "Chapelle Saint-Laurent",PR® ARG4. Cross the ford, then pass in front of the Mimosas campsite and head up towards Mas Blanc and Mas Saint-Laurent.
(1) At a fork in the wide DFCI-AL tracks, take the one that goes uphill (no. 39) and continue climbing. At the next intersection (sign for "Ecoutez"), turn right and continue climbing on the main track. The 11 green signs saying "Écouter pour voir" will follow one after the other along the route.
(2) At the first intersection, turn right onto DFCI-AL trail no. 28. Pass a green cistern.
(3) Then, after the bend, take the path on the left that climbs into the forest. This new path (not shown on the map) was created by the community of communes to bypass the Mas de la Monja. At thefirst crossroads, go diagonally to the right and climb up into the scrubland. Ignore a path on the right. At the T-junction (elevation 218), turn right. At the next junction, stay on the left-hand path which climbs towards Mas d'en Pardès (ruins).
(4) Retrace your steps and take a path to the south-east that enters the vegetation, which is mainly mimosas (do not go up the more open path that climbs south towards the Tour de la Massane).
(5) You will come out onto a track; follow it to the left. Descend to the Chapel of Saint-Laurent-du-Mont. Go behind this monument, descending to your right, until you reach a stone shepherd's hut or pastoral hut (follow the cairns).
(6) Retrace your steps. At the chapel, take the path that descends opposite the chapel door (south). You will quickly reach the DFCI-AL No. 39 track.
(7) Follow this track to the left and descend.
(2) At the intersection, turn right, staying on the track. At the intersection, turn left. Stay on the track.
(1) Continue straight ahead, past the campsite. At the intersection, turn right and return to the car park (S/E).
