The Angon waterfall circuit
A lovely, varied walk with undergrowth, meadows and small villages, with the added bonus of the Angon waterfall and superb views of the lake, La Tournette and the Dents de Lanfon.
Mont Veyrier
The ridge trail from Mont Veyrier to Mont Baron overlooks Lake Annecy from a height of over 800 metres and offers panoramic views of the Bauges peaks.
⚠️ A decree issued by the municipalities of Annecy and Veyrier-du-Lac prohibits motorised vehicles from accessing the Col des Contrebandiers and Pré Vernet.
Tête Noire, Tête Ronde and Tête de l'Arpettaz
Tête Noire, Tête Ronde and Tête de l'Arpettaz: three peaks overlooking the southern end of the Glières Plateau. The hike takes you through a fairly wild and unfrequented part of the peaks surrounding the famous historic plateau. Magnificent 360° view.

Hike offering superb views of the Massif des Bornes, Lake Annecy and Mont Blanc.
The Seven Fountains Loop in Montmin
This loop trail runs through the suspended valley of Montmin and takes you to the monument of the Seven Fountains (1642), a Christian building with a very unusual design.
The Trou de la Mouche loop
This is a classic destination in the Combes des Aravis, allowing you to visit two pretty combes linked by a remarkable natural curiosity.
Chalet de l'Aulp - Rocher du Roux

Lessy Lake from Cullaz
There is an alternative route to the "classic" route to Lac de Lessy, which is much less frequented.
No particular difficulties (no ladders).

Circuit in the Aravis through the Blanchet pastures

Pointe d'Orcière
This grassy peak does not present any technical difficulties. From the summit, there is a beautiful view of the Aravis and the Bouchet valley. This is an ideal hike for a family outing and is easily accessible in winter with snowshoes.
Villaz waterfall circuit
An easy, shaded walk with two waterfalls along the way. Ideal for families and on hot days, with a beautiful view of the Parmelan.
Parmelan loop from Dingy via the Col du Perthuis
Le Parmelan, via a slightly less traditional route.
At the summit, sharp limestone pavement, Grotte de l'Enfer (and other caves), Mont Blanc range.
Les Confins
This is a short, easy loop with beautiful views of Le Grand Bornand, Mont Lachat, the Combes des Aravis and the Balme and Fernuy slopes, as well as Lac des Confins on the way back. There is a possible variation to the Tête du Danay.
Clef des Annes, Lac Maroly and Lac de la Cour
A bucolic hike in the middle of a huge mountain pasture. The Maroli valley climbs gently to the sound of cowbells. At the top, the Crêt des Annes offers an exceptional view of the Aravis and the surrounding mountains, and the artificial lakes of Maroly and La Cour are also very charming.
The Pointe de Balafrasse
Starting from the Col de la Colombière, the Pointe de Balafrasse is a hike that passes by Lac de Peyre. Panoramic view of the Aravis mountain range and the Mont Blanc massif if the clouds are not too thick. No technical difficulties except perhaps for those who are afraid of heights after the Col de Balafrasse between (3) and .
Tête du Danay
This hike is interesting in both summer and winter. On snowshoes after a good snowfall, on a beautiful sunny day, the forest passages offer opportunities for beautiful photos.
Lessy Lake
The Lac de Lessy, located in a valley at the foot of the Jallouvre, Buclon and Aiguille Verte mountains, is well worth a visit. The route takes you up and down hills, offering magnificent panoramic views.
Croisse Baulet loop from Le Plan
A beautiful loop to a little-known peak between Aravis and Beaufortain, particularly scenic. The climb is steep but the return loop via the little Croisse Baulet is enchanting, like a balcony with exceptional views of the Mont Blanc massif. It can get a little crowded on the way back as it can be reached in an hour from the Jaillet cable car.
Crossing the Petit Bargy
This is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Arve Valley, offering a wide variety of flora, fauna and geology.
Lake Lessy and Aiguille Verte from Le Petit-Bornand
A hike that will take you to Lac de Lessy, then to the Aiguille Verte du Chinaillon. The terrain is varied: mountain pastures, forests, scree, sharp limestone pavements, etc. The landscape is equally varied, culminating in the summit, which offers a 360° panorama of the Bornes, Aravis and Mont Blanc massifs. The area is also ideal for encountering the many ibexes that inhabit the massif.
Sulens Mountain via the Sentier du Facteur
This is an unusual route to the summit of Sulens, which takes you up the steep grassy face of the east slope.
This trail is not "yet" marked on IGN maps... but is clearly visible on IGN Satellite.
A good reason to use it before it becomes too well-travelled...

Snowshoes on the Glières Plateau
Snowshoe circuit on the vast Glières Plateau.
Besides the historical aspect, the Glières Plateau is interesting to visit because the mountains that surround it are strong points of reference.
Croix de Fer from the Col des Aravis
This is a fairly easy short loop for families, stopping at the Croix de Fer for a superb view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains.
The Parmelan refreshment stands
It is undoubtedly its proximity to Annecy that makes this mountain a place where hikers can find comfort after a more or less strenuous hike.
La Montagne du Sulens
Un itinéraire assez facile, mais qui offre une jolie vue arrivé au sommet, avec une table d'orientation.
La Tête du Danay loop starting from Les Confins
This lovely walk will take you to the Tête du Danay for a 360° view of the La Clusaz and Grand Bornand valleys.
Along the way, you will discover different facets of the Aravis mountains.
Pointe de Beauregard and Croix de Colomban
This hike offers several different views of the mountains. The climb is gradual and takes you through alpine pastures. The descent is mainly through forest. There are some beautiful views, particularly of the Aravis mountain range, Mont Blanc and La Tournette.
The tour of the Pic du Jalouvre
This tour will undoubtedly allow you to spot ibex, which are often in the area, but also to observe a wide range of alpine flora, including Saint Bruno's lilies, Liotard's stars, soldanellas, and more. With a little luck, you may even spot a ptarmigan or chamois.
The Tour de la Montagne des Frettes
This circuit starts from the Col des Glières, on the plateau of the same name, in this important resistance site near Annecy.

Tour of the Leschaux rocks
A walk between the mountain pastures of Solaison and Cenice, with a magnificent 360° view!
Le Lanfonnet and Roche Murraz
Less travelled than its prestigious neighbour (La Tournette), the summit of Lanfonnet offers a pleasant and less demanding alternative, with a smaller elevation gain. The view of Lake Annecy is spectacular.
Lac des Confins and Plan Lachat
At the foot of the slender peaks of the Aravis, a family hike partly through mountain pastures and partly through forest. Two lakes, one natural and one artificial, await you.
La Tournette loop from the village of Montmin
This is a beautiful hike offering stunning views of Lake Annecy, the Aravis massif and Mont Blanc. I recommend doing this hike in late October or early November, as the route is very busy in July, August and September.

Pointe de Sur Cou and Chalet de Balme
A pleasant circular with a beautiful panorama at the summit over the Arve Valley and the Aravis, Bargy, and Sous Dine mountain ranges, etc. Mont Blanc is visible. Refreshments are available on the descent as you pass by the Chalet de Balme.
This is a very popular hike, partly due to the Chalet de Balme.
Lac Bénit circular
Family outing, suitable for children.Beautiful view of Bargy and the Arve Valley.
Route from Col de l'Arpettaz to Boegneuve
Starting from the Col de l'Alpettaz, this is a walk for the whole family. Magnificent views, breathtaking vistas and, as a bonus, if the weather is not too foggy, the Mont Blanc massif. You can even buy Savoyard cheeses.
The Glières Plateau
A peaceful hike through the plateau's mountain pastures, a place steeped in the history of the Glières maquis. The route also offers panoramic views of the region's mountain ranges.

Half-day route on a scenic path with beautiful views of the Aravis mountain range.
Lac du Mont Charvin via Col des Porthets
A moderately difficult hike through the steep, rocky mountain pastures of Mont Charvin. From the Fontanettes car park in the commune of Le Bouchet, the climb takes you past the Chalet des Fontanettes and the Chalet de l'Aulp de Marlens, then through the valley to the Col des Porthets. From there, descend to join the path coming from Manigod and climb back up to the lake. The return journey follows the same route.
Le Mont Lachat via Le Suet
A beautiful hike offering 360° views of the Aravis, Lake Annecy and the Glières Plateau.
Short circular of La Blonnière
This is a lovely little outing from the hamlet of La Blonnière. It is a pleasant walk, even in summer, because although the slope faces south, the route is quite shady. In winter, it can be more complicated, as we are still at an altitude of 1,000 metres and there is often snow.
The North Peak of the Dents de Lanfon
A very beautiful hike in the Annecy region, which will take you to the northern peak of the Dents de Lanfon, in a wild environment with exceptional scenery. From the summit, there is a superb view, particularly of Lake Annecy, Tête à Turpin and Grandes Lanches (Dent du Cruet).
Please note: a helmet is recommended due to the risk of falling rocks.
