To get to the start, from Chinaillon, continue towards the Col de la Colombière and a few metres after thethird hairpin bend, park in the small car park on the left or at the start of the track on the right (around ten spaces).
(S/E) Take the track, Chemin des Bouts, and continue to the hamlet of the same name.
(1) At the three-way junction in the centre of the hamlet of Les Bouts, continue left. The track continues as a small tarmac road and joins the hamlet of Ferme Maroli. Go around it on the left to respect the residents. You will arrive at the foot of a ski lift.
(2) Turn left onto the path that climbs beneath it. After moving away from the ski lift, take a 90° left turn and then return beneath it. Turn right and continue climbing until you reach the ridge of La Clef des Annes.
(3) Continue right and follow the ridge to the Terres Rouges restaurant.
(4) Just after, turn left for a return trip to the orientation table with its exceptional view.
(4) On your return, continue left on the downhill track.
(5) At the small Col du Vacheret, turn right and ignore two paths on the left before reaching thethird fork.
(6) Turn left for a round trip to Lac du Malory and walk around it.
(7) After enjoying the spot, return to the previous fork (the path that starts next to the spillway is tempting but prohibited).
(6) On your return, continue left until the next fork.
(8) Ignore the left turn towards the snow factory building (no access) and head towards the hamlet of Ferme Maroli at the bottom of the valley.
(9) Just before this, take the descending track on the left, on the left bank of the Ruisseau des Bouts (not shown on the IGN map). Follow it to the Chalet de Maroly.
(10) Follow the track that branches off to the left almost horizontally, then take the first left. After a short climb, you will reach Lac de la Cour.
(11) After enjoying the spot, return to the fork at Chalet de Maroly.
(10) Continue left, passing between the buildings and over the bridge over the Ruisseau des Bouts. Walk alongside a farm on your right and you will reach the hamlet of Les Bouts.
(1) Continue left and return to the car park on the Route du Col de la Colombière (S/E).
