To get to Montmin from Annecy, you will need to cross the Col de la Forclaz (viewpoint over Lake Annecy). On the road to the pass, there is another remarkable viewpoint over the Bay of Talloires in the hamlet of Saint-Germain.
Start at the car park by the church in Montmin.
(S/E) The circuit starts 100 m below the church. Follow the sign for Plan Montmin along the rural path heading south, passing the Grange de la Revenne (spelled Revenaz locally) and leading directly to the fountain
(1). Then follow the paved road to Plan Montmin, which you will cross.
(2) Shortly before the Plan Montmin chapel, turn right towards La Perrière via the rural road from Plan Montmin to Les Outellières. Cross two streams to reach La Perrière.
(3) At La Perrière, go up the road (D42) for about ten metres and turn left towards La Côte (Col de la Forclaz) via the rural path Moulin à La Perrière. Leave a path on your right and then on your left and, once you reach the road, turn right to reach the hamlet of La Côte.
(4) Cross the hamlet and follow the departmental road towards Montmin for 300 metres.
At the cemetery, turn left to return to the starting point (S/E)
