(S/E) Start from the car park near the Maison du Plateau (D55 road).
(1) Descend the slope towards the south-east, crossing a few cross-country ski trails. Climb up opposite in the undergrowth, still heading south-east.
(2) You will arrive at a flat area before Plan des Mouilles. Then veer slightly more to the east (on the left, still generally south-east). Then climb up through the undergrowth along a winding path.
(3) At Plan du Loup, climb eastwards up a steep slope towards Pas du Loup.
(4) Pass it and arrive at the Glières plateau, where you can enjoy a magnificent view. Continue northeast on a vast, slightly undulating snow-covered plateau.
(5) You will arrive at the Chalets des Auges after a short descent. Return via the same route to Plan du Loup.
(3) Then turn right into the valley through the undergrowth (north-west). This path is on the other side of the valley from the ascent route.
(2) At Plan des Mouilles, cross the uphill path but continue west to the Chalet des Mouilles.
(6) Then follow a farm track that can be seen under the snow.
(7) At an altitude of 1,465 metres, leave this path on the right, heading north-northeast slightly up the slope.
(8) Descend into the valley, veering left, then climb north-northwest to arrive at the starting point near the Maison du Plateau (S/E).
