Park in the car park on the road just after Lac des Confins, near the chapel.
(S/E) Continue along this road on foot until you reach a U-bend. There, take the path on the left, signposted towards Tête du Danay.
(1) About 300 metres further on, turn left onto the path and then, 100 metres after that, turn left again onto the path that climbs towards the ridge in the forest, also indicated by the same signs for Tête du Danay. Continue along this path uphill to the mountain ridge. There, you have a choice: either stay on the wide path slightly below the ridge or take the small parallel path on the ridge (more enjoyable).
(2) At the end of the path on a small road, signs indicate the Tête du Danay to the right or a possible return to Les Confins and the car park on the left. Continue here along the path to the right, then very quickly turn left onto the path that climbs uphill, do not continue to the right towards Lajoux.
(3) You will then arrive on a clear path with a magnificent view of the Combes des Aravis. Continue along this path until you reach an alpine farm selling cheese.
(4) Head back down towards Les Confins on your left and return to the junction you passed on the way there on the small road.
(2) Follow the path that descends to the right towards Les Confins. In the hamlet, turn left, pass the chapel and return to the car park (S/E).
