Vallée du Surmelin

This route is one of the 11 short circuits in the Surmelin Valley. Along the way, you’ll discover the charms of the villages of Celles-lès-Condé, Baulne-en-Brie (Vallée-en-Champagne) and Condé-en-Brie.

The “Par les Vieux Prés” route is one of the 11 short routes in the Surmelin Valley. It passes through the villages of Saint-Eugène, Monthurel and Condé-en-Brie. As you follow the Dhuis Aqueduct, enjoy the many views of the valley and its villages.

The La Grosse Pierre route passes through the villages of Condé-en-Brie, Monthurel and Celles-lès-Condé. This route runs alongside the Grande Rue, where you’ll find the tourist information sign for the Surmelin Valley.

The Fontaine Noire route passes through the villages of Le Breuil and Baulne-en-Brie. Along this route, you’ll walk through pleasant meadows whilst following the River Surmelin, and there’s a picnic table in the shade.

The La Table des Hussards route passes through the villages of Crézancy and Mézy-Moulin. On this route, you follow the Marne river to reach its confluence with the Surmelin. You’ll pass through woods and meadows, but above all, the steep slopes of the vineyards.

The Tour de la Garenne passes through the villages of Connigis, Saint-Eugène and Crézancy. It follows a section of the (underground) Dhuis Aqueduct, which carries water to Val d’Europe.

The right bank of the ‘Deux Rives en Omois’ forms the first section of the circular route, taking you through the eight villages in the Aisne department that make up the Surmelin Valley. It passes through the villages of Mézy-Moulins, Connigis, Monthurel, Celles-lès-Condé and Baulne-en-Brie.

It passes through the villages of Baulne-en-Brie (Vallées en Champagne), Condé-en-Brie, Saint-Eugène, Crézancy and Mézy-Moulins.

The Red Cross circular walk passes through the villages of Orbais-l’Abbaye and La-Ville-sous-Orbais. It follows part of the Surmelin GRP® trail. The walk starts on the squarein Orbais-l’Abbaye, near the church, close to the Surmelin Valley tourist sign.

The ‘Bois de Moines’ circular route is one of the eleven short routes in the Surmelin Valley. It passes through the villages of Le Breuil and La Ville-sous-Orbais. The route follows part of the Surmelin GRP®.
