In the footsteps of Marie Dubois
On1 May 1988, the “Marie Dubois” walk was inaugurated. This walk “for freedom and tolerance” aims to revive the route taken by Protestants from the Metz region between 1685 and 1789 to attend services in Ludweiler (Saarland). We cover only a short section of these paths through the forests of Landonvillers and Courcelles-Chaussy.
Route of the Templar Estate
The walk starts in Glatigny, a village "cursed" for Jews following a false accusation of murder of a Jewish merchant on a 3-year-old child in 1669. The latter was rehabilitated in 2009 with the installation of a commemorative plaque: it took 340 years for the village to restore dialogue and respect between the different faithsThis route then passes through the Lorraine villages of Cheuby, Sainte-Barbe, Gras and Retonfey, where you can admire farms, castles, calvaries and wash houses.
Tour of Bambiderstroff via the hills
A pleasant circular route around the village of Bambiderstroff, through woods, meadows and farmland, passing close to various Maginot Line fortifications, including the small Bambesch fort.Passing over ridges, this route also offers some stunning panoramic views.

Circular route through fields that passes close to the old railway line (partly destroyed and partly underground – disused tunnel near Nouilly) and can be completed with a visit to the site of the old station in Nouilly, now converted for private use.
The Fort aux Fresques
Maginot Line Fort A24, known as the “Fort aux Fresques”, consists of an entrance block and three combat blocks. Its uniqueness lies in the various humorous murals depicting the life of a fortress crew, as well as the mottos and names of the different underground galleries.
