Soccia walks
Soccia at Lake Creno
One of the most beautiful hikes in Corsica. The path is pleasant, with part of it in the woods. The arrival at the lake is a magical moment. The lake appears in a setting, even if there are a few people around, the place is conducive to quiet conversation.
A very beautiful place for a picnic.
Lake Nino from Poppaghia
An ascent to a high-altitude lake in a beautiful mountain setting. A varied route that starts in a pine forest, continues through rocky terrain and ends in the middle of pastures. This hike is an alternative to the much more popularGR®20route, which starts at the Col de Vergio.
From Col de Vergio to Lac Nino
A very beautiful hike that allows you to walk along the ridges and discover Lake Nino in a beautiful valley surrounded by stone mountains.
Corsica Stage 5: Col de Vergio to Evisa
After our break at the Col de Vergio, we head back towards the sea.
During this stage, we will cross the beautiful Aîtone forest with its swimming pools and paved paths in some places.
Aïtone Forest, chestnut grove, waterfalls and pools of Evisa
Along this fairly easy educational walk (with lots of interesting information boards), you will discover the hard life of the farmers of yesteryear in the midst of chestnut and Laricio pine trees. A magical forest where you expect to meet a fairy behind every patch of moss on a rock. Perhaps they have turned into pigs nibbling on chestnuts along the way. Further on, you will walk along the Aïtone with its pools (8°C!) and waterfalls... very popular in summer as it is accessible from a tarmac road. The best time to visit is October/November for the colours and manageable crowds.
From Evisa to Porto
For this last stage, as soon as you leave Evisa, take the discovery trail and descend the beautiful Spelunca Gorges. After the Genoese bridge at Pianella, you will arrive at the beautiful village of Ota and descend towards the marina at Porto.
The Spelunca Gorges and the Zaglia Bridge from a bridge over the Porto
This route is shaded, making it ideal on hot days! It is suitable for children, who will enjoy playing in the water afterwards.
When you start the hike after the bridge over the Porto River, you will see signs indicating that the route is closed due to bad weather. These signs are old and there is no problem until the bridge. Apparently, there are landslides on the path after the Zaglia bridge towards Evisa.
Punta di à Vita
An easy hike from Sari d'Orcino to the two Punta di à Vita peaks: one as indicated on the maps, the other as written on the cross at its summit. Much of the trail is marked in yellow as far as Bocca di à Vita.

The trail begins by climbing up to Bocca Arinella, where we discover our destination: after Lake Calacuccia, the village of Albertacce.

The trail starts under the Laricio pines, then climbs towards Bocca Tribali (1,590 m), revealing ridges and valleys. Beyond, Lavu Bellebone, a small glacial lake nestled in a mineral cirque, invites you to take a contemplative break. The rest of the climb is steeper, on rocky terrain where you may find yourself out of breath. At the summit, the 360° view takes in the gulfs, peaks and wild soul of Corsica, before you return to the valley.
Corsica Stage 3: Albertacce to Col de Vergio
This third stage takes us to the Col de Vergio, the highest point of the day, which marks the start of the descent to Porto.

Rocher des Gozzi and Punta Pastinaca in Apietto
This hike on the outskirts of Ajaccio leads to the Rocher des Gozzi, a red granite cliff, at the top of which there is an exceptional view of the Gulf of Lava, then Ajaccio with its airport and the points of Isulella, Castagna and Capu di Muru, and the Gravone valley.
From Punta Pastinaca, the view is completed to the east by the magnificent view of Monte Rotondo, Monte d'Oro and Monte Renoso and the Gravone valley.
