Col de Vergio - Albertacce

(S) From the hotel at the Col de Vergio, take the^GR®20northwards to the Radule sheepfolds.

(1) Continue on the^GR®, crossing the Golo via the footbridge. Then leave the^GR® and turn right onto the transhumance trail (marked blue, with orange markings in places).
Continue along this path eastwards until you reach the MAM at the Sources de Vinasse.

(2) Head north-east to reach the junction with the Calasima trail (the highest village in Corsica).

(3) Continue eastwards until you reach the Muricciolu Bridge.

(4) Cross it and reach the D84 road.

(5) Turn left onto it and head towards Albertacce.
The lodge is on the left at the turn-off towards Calacuccia (E).

The^GR® trail, which passes through the sheepfolds, then continues into the mountains. This is the route to the Tighettu Refuge, which precedes the famous Cirque de la Solitude pass.
Before reaching Albertacce, take a look at the mill at Pont de Muricciolu.
In Albertacce, the view looks out over the large Calacuccia Dam.
