(S) To reach the path to Évisa, the most direct route is to take the road for 1 km, turning right at the Hôtel de Vergio.
(1) At the pass, take the path opposite (the one on the right leads to the Bergerie de Radule). Descend towards the beautiful forest of Aîtone. Continue along the path until you reach a forest track, which you take on the right.
You will come to another forest track just before the Pont de Casterica bridge, which you cross.
(2) Follow the Aïtone stream to a suspension bridge (1 person).
(3) The path will arrive at the Aïtone pools, where you will find many people (very beautiful pools and a road nearby). Near the pools, take a look at the old chestnut mill.
Continue along the path until you reach the road, which you follow for a few metres.
(4) Take the discovery trail on the right, which leads to Évisa. This is a very pretty trail, paved in places, with attractive drainage and path improvements.
(5) To reach the Hôtel de la Châtaigneraie, our destination, turn left and then immediately right, then cross the village. Simple and friendly atmosphere, good food (E).
From Lake Calacuccia, it's a nice ride to recover.
