Sepx walks

This hike follows part of the Western Wilderness Trail that connects Cazeneuve Montaut to Latoue. Here, it forms a loop that allows you to return to the starting point: the village of Sepx.

A varied route, starting from Aurignac, which winds its way through the hills surrounding the town, offering beautiful views of the town and the keep of the count's castle, as well as panoramic views of the Pyrenees (orientation table)... Best enjoyed on a clear day! The walk passes by the prehistoric shelter of Aurignac ("Rhodes Cave"), which was discovered in 1852 and gave its name to the corresponding period (35,000 - 26,000 BC). This is a beautiful hike (also accessible by mountain bike) that will allow you to discover magnificent panoramic views of the Comminges countryside and the Pyrenees mountain range. This route takes place on paved sections with very little traffic and on dirt or gravel paths along the edge of fields and forests, with even a ford to cross the Nère river.

This circular starting from Saint-Martin is a good warm-up to prepare you for climbing the Pyrenean peaks. It will take you down and then back up some pretty hills in the foothills, around Figarol, to reach the bed of the Garonne before climbing back up to the starting point, with the Cagire as your focal point.

A pleasant walk on quiet roads, mainly on the heights, offering beautiful views of the Cornudère ridge and the Cagire, after passing through a beautiful forest. Then, the descent along the Arbas, to the sound of running water, should charm walkers. Please respect the gates.

From the village, the view of the Pyrenees is magnificent. Belbèze lives up to its name (in Occitan, Belbèze means "beautiful view"). Throughout the hike, the route offers unobstructed views, mainly of the Pyrenean peaks.

This hike starts at the unusual Miègecoste Chapel, follows a discovery trail with the ruins of a watchtower, and continues on a large loop around the heights of Aspet. It is one of the most beautiful vantage points for admiring the Pic de Cagire, the "lord of Comminges".

This hike takes place on good tracks and forest roads, through beautiful forests of beech, ash, chestnut, boxwood and other trees. The descent is mainly on less comfortable paths, which require a little more attention as they are less well-trodden. The yellow markings are good, but seem to have been scratched and partially erased between points (8) and (9). The route, which is mostly in the shade, can be done in any season. However, avoid periods of fog due to the reported problem of poor markings on part of the route.

This is a very pleasant, uncrowded walk that is suitable for everyone. On the way there, you will pass through the beautiful Fabas Forest and on the way back, you will walk along the Lac de Saint-André, which is well worth a look

Discover the local area in the heart of nature. Departure from the commune of Palaminy, on the right bank of the Garonne, at the hamlet of Les Pesquès on the D62. Stay alert, as you will be walking on tarmac roads for much of the route, although there is not much traffic; I only came across one vehicle. However, beautiful paths and tracks await you, and the Ruisseau des Goutères stream is a sight to behold. The route is very well signposted, even if some points are hidden by dense vegetation. This hike in the Haut Comminges is pleasant, with little elevation gain, no difficulty and well marked. Most of the route is in the woods, so it is particularly recommended in summer or autumn. In addition, if you want to take a break, there is a picnic table at the Col de Lauach.

Arbas, land of bears, paragliders and beautiful hikes! The hike I suggest follows a ridge trail and offers beautiful views of the Comminges to the north and the high peaks of the Pyrenees to the south, all without much difficulty.

An easy hike once you've made the climb, with magnificent views of the Pyrenees.

A beautiful line hike, which requires you to leave a vehicle at the finish beforehand. From the village of Razecueillé, the route takes you directly to the Pic de Paloumère, offering magnificent views of the Piedmont to the north and the highest peaks to the south, east and west. The route to the finish is very varied: forestry paths, ridges, old paths that are a little forgotten and therefore poorly marked, beech forests frequented mainly by wild boar and roe deer.

This hike, mainly on quiet asphalt roads and farm tracks, can be done after rain. Do not follow the signpost at the start indicating a left turn; you must turn right. The signposting is somewhat unclear as it crosses several routes, so follow the app and the description. There are some beautiful views as the route follows a ridge line.

A lovely walk in a wooded area, suitable all year round except during periods of heavy rain. A family hike that can be done as a round trip from Barbazan to the Refuge Saint-Martin. Reminder: the route is mainly through woodland.

This hike, which has no major difficulties, will be great fun to do in autumn in the midst of an explosion of colour. You'll discover superb beech forests, impressive pidgeon hunting huts, a beautiful view of the Pic du Cagire, the Garonne valley and the first Pyrenean peaks dominating the Barousse.

Discover the bourdaous, which are pastoral mountain hamlets, groups of barns and stables used in the past during the summer months. A bourdaou can also be an isolated barn with an adjoining hut, a very basic dwelling for shepherds. This route offers the chance to discover some of them, starting from Cazavet and climbing up to the Cours mountain pasture. The route passes by the summit of Roc de Maléchart, where a 360° view allows you to discover the Pyrenees mountain range.

Sunshine, panoramic views of the Vallier massif and the Pyrenees, and barns are all on the agenda for this loop above the village of Balagué.
