(S/E) From the Tourist Office on Boulevard Jean Jaurés, turn right, cross the boulevard and turn left onto Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville. Follow this road to the first intersection, then turn right onto Rue des Comtes du Comminges. At the first dirt track, turn right.
(1) 100 metres further on, turn right to climb up to the oppidum, the ruins of the old castle and its chapel.
(2) View of the Pyrenees and Salies-du-Salat. Retrace your steps for about 150 metres.
(1) Take the dirt track on the right which joins the tarmac road. Turn left onto Chemin des Bignous, climb up to the last houses, then follow the Gourrinon dirt track for 500 m.
(3) At the T-junction, turn left, then almost immediately right to climb the dirt track to Le Poueigh and the statue of the Virgin Mary.
(4) Beautiful view of the Pyrenees, Montsaunès and its church.
Retrace your steps, turn right at the crossroads and follow this path to the first tarmac intersection.
(5) Turn left onto Rue Croix de Peyron and follow it to the end, where it forms a right angle and becomes Chemin de Terrefort.
Cross the road and continue straight ahead to reach the D7 (busy road). Take care when crossing roads.
Still straight ahead, follow the tarmac road uphill, which turns into a dirt track.
(6) At the T-junction, turn left towards the farm and Rue Les Bourdasses. Continue along this street until you reach a crossroads, then turn left onto the tarmac road to reach the D7 (main road). Take care when crossing roads.
(7) Opposite, follow Boulevard du Sel, D13d, passing the retirement home and spa on your left.
(8) When you reach the roundabout, continue left onto Avenue de la Paix to reach the Tourist Office via the recently renovated paths (S/E).
