Savignac-de-l'Isle walks

The route is fairly hilly and varied, with the banks of the Isle, vineyards, woodland, beautiful views, castles and stately homes.

This walk will take you through the vineyards of Saillans, a small village with beautiful views of the River Isle and Libourne.

A bucolic, undulating hike through varied landscapes, vineyards and undergrowth, and a few small, quiet roads.

The starting point of the route, Guîtres Abbey (11th and 15th centuries) is an imposing monument located on the Way of St James. We will continue our walk through the gentle Pays Gabay (pronounced gabaye) to meet three rivers, the Isle, the Dronne and the Lary.

A hilly hike between famous châteaux and their vineyards, with beautiful views of the Dordogne and charming little hamlets...

This fairly hilly route takes you through vineyards and castles and offers numerous viewpoints. The route was designed by the Fronsac Tourist Office and is fairly well signposted for the most part, but has been slightly modified.

This walk will take you through woods and vineyards.

A slightly hilly route combining the magnificent Château de la Rivière, its viewpoint, undergrowth and vineyards.

Loop between the Dordogne and the Fronsadais hills, with landscapes of marshes and hedgerows, then vineyards and hillsides. Pass through the small port of Tressac and enjoy the view of Château de La Rivière.

Magnificent views, weather permitting: Saint-André-de-Cubzac, Pont d'Aquitaine, etc. Passage through Mediterranean-style shrubbery, not to mention a few beautiful castles... Be careful in wet weather, as the path can be slippery.

Discover a little-known part of Libourne after a few minutes' drive, leaving the traffic behind for the vineyards and then the tranquillity of the banks of the Dordogne. If it is hot and the sun is strong, you will be in the shade and cool on your return. The presence of the menhir is surprising.

Just a few minutes from Libourne town centre, there are over 450 hectares of nature: meadows, vineyards, woods, the Dordogne river, but also storks, deer and wild boar (don't worry, they're not visible during the day...). Also worth seeing are a magnificent chapel, Château Videlot and its grounds. Please note that the path through the château grounds along the Dordogne may be inaccessible during high tides (coefficient > 100). This route is signposted.

A short circular, gently undulating loop through vineyards and woodland, passing by the magnificent, perfectly restored Calon mills.

The route is slightly hilly, with a significant section in the woods, ending at the edge of a very picturesque pond. This is a particularly suitable spot for a picnic, but bring a table as the few available are often occupied by fishermen.

Just a few minutes from Saint-Émilion, this remarkable hamlet has many surprises in store. A lodge for pilgrims on the Way of St James, an aviary, an 18th-century mill, a magnificent Petit Trianon-style château, an important and magnificent collection of iron sculptures, not to mention a beautiful view of the mountains. Let's continue with some Grands Crus and beautiful views of the rolling hills.
