Saint-Sauveur-Lalande walks

La Salvatorienne, named after the inhabitants of Saint-Sauveur-Lalande, invites you to discover the Landais Forest located south of the Montponnais region. Don't miss the church, a real architectural gem!

This route takes you along the Isle river, using the footpath on the Pont de Ménesplet, Marcillac and Vauclaire bridges, passing by the Chandos leisure centre. The footpath is designed to provide continuous pedestrian access along a stream or river. This footpath, which follows the old towpath, allows you to immerse yourself in protected natural surroundings.

Throughout the hike, mills, wine châteaux and churches combine to offer hikers a charming backdrop in a natural and varied setting. Don't miss the Romanesque church of Thoumeyragues, which is said to have been built by the monks of Saint-Émilion. Also worth seeing: the Bouhets dovecote and the Château de la Beauze (early 16th century).
