From Silvacane Abbey to the Vallon de la Baume
Short, easy hike with a steady climb at the start.
Views of the Durance, the Luberon and Mont Ventoux.
After the hike, you can visit the12th-century Silvacane Abbey with its simple, perfect architecture.
Silvacane Abbey and the Côtes mountain range
Hike from Silvacane Abbey (worth visiting) and climb up to the ridges for beautiful views of the Luberon, Mont Ventoux and the Alps. The descent through the Castellas valley, which follows the bed of a torrent, is tricky in places but possible in dry weather.
La Roque-d'Anthéron
Come and discover part of the Chaîne des Côtes, a 10 km long and 6 km wide mountain range separating the Touloubre Valley from the Durance, at the exit of the village of La Roque d'Antéron, very close to Silvacane Abbey. The start and finish are in the holiday village of La Baume.
Chaîne des Côtes from Lambesc
A 2½-hour circular walk above Lambesc. A steady climb through the woods, then along the ridge of the Côtes mountain range, with superb 360° views of the Étang de Berre, the Alpilles, Mont Ventoux, the Luberon, the Alpes du Verdon and Sainte Victoire. Return via the plateau of the hamlet of Janet through vineyards along farm tracks.
Chapel of Sainte-Anne de Goiron and the Côtes mountain range
A varied hike between the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Anne de Goiron and the ridge line of the Côtes mountain range, which offers beautiful panoramic views: from Mont Ventoux to the Massif de l'Étoile and beyond to the Étang de Berre, passing through the mountains of the Haut Verdon.
Saint-Cannat
This is an easy 16km circuit for a walk in the forest in the Pays d'Aix south of Saint-Cannat, a charming Provençal village located in a plain and surrounded by wooded areas.
Panoramic view of the Durance Valley from Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade
Discover La Quille (or Quiho in Provençal), an ancient abandoned village, topped by an oppidum and the ruins of a castle. With panoramic views of the Trevaresse mountain range, Sainte-Victoire, the Durance valley, the Provence canal, the Alpilles, Le Grand Luberon, the Pre-Alps... and beyond.
A little further on is the Sainte-Réparade Chapel, before climbing a little higher up the hill.
This route offers numerous viewpoints over the Durance valley.
Loop of the Cadenet and Lourmarin castles
Walking loop starting from Cadenet. Pass through the paths and vineyards of Cadenet, then visit the narrow streets of Lourmarin and continue on to the château. Return via the Château de Cadenet.
Ridges of the Plateau de Sèze and Mont Trésor in the Côtes massif
This route is quite challenging as it passes over several ridges of Mont Trésor and the heights of the Plateau de Séze. The slopes are sometimes quite rugged. This area is wild and very quiet, but it offers views over the Durance valley to the Alpilles and the southern mountains of the department.
Please note: the elevation gain is closer to 520 metres.
Around the Bois de Sainte-Croix in Charleval
A short walk of about an hour. Beautiful views of the Luberon and the villages of Vaucluse.
Around the village of Eguilles
Starting from the village of Eguilles, this walk takes us to the Eguilles lookout point, where we can admire the village and Sainte-Victoire mountain, before crossing the olive groves and returning to the village. An easy, enjoyable walk that can be done in all seasons.

A very wild hike on the southern slope of the Petit Luberon.
The lack of signposting and paths on certain parts of the circuit means that access is restricted to experienced hikers.
