Via Notre-Dame du Puy du Bassin
A very pleasant circular route through fields and woods, with no major difficulties, in the heart of the Xaintrie Blanche, taking you to the region’s highest point, the Puy du Bassin, which rises to 709 m.
Bassignac-le-Haut and the Dordogne
This is a short walk starting from the magnificent calvary of Bassignac-le-Haut, offering one of the most beautiful views of the Dordogne. It is an easy walk, with part of the route on a quiet road.
The villages of Saint-Martin-Cantalès

Circular from the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs to Soursac
This route takes you along a very quiet road and narrow paths on either side of the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs viaduct to a metal suspension footbridge over the Luzège. Lovely views of the viaduct and the Luzège Valley.
Lake Pont-Aubert and the Rochers Noirs Viaduct
You will set off to explore the natural heritage of Soursac by heading towards Lac du Pont-Aubert. You will follow the Tacot trail, visiting the Jardin de Firmin and its cabin with a breathtaking view over the Luzège Valley. You will reach the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs and the Himalayan footbridge.
The Catou trail
A beautiful hike, lovingly mapped out in the heart of the Cantal between the castles of Chambres and Mazerolles.
Roc du Busatier and the Jardin de Bardot
A short hike but with a significant elevation gain. Beautiful views over the Dordogne. Visit to the Jardin de Bardot. Explore the penstock of the hydroelectric dam.

Above the Gorges de la Dordogne in Nougein
Walk above the Gorges de la Dordogne, through former chestnut plantations, a restored market garden, along an old Roman road, tracks and forest paths.
Rochers Noirs Viaduct in Lapleau
Leave Lapleau via the Gorges de la Luzège, heading towards a historic monument in Haute Corrèze: the Rochers Noirs Viaduct, on a more challenging trail than the one that starts in Soursac.
Along the Etze and Bertrande rivers
A lovely, easy hike through bucolic countryside, along and above the water, almost entirely shaded by tall trees. Beautiful views. Swimming possible. Near Saint-Illide, Arnac and Pleaux.
The Dordogne valley at the foot of Servières-le-Château
A beautiful hike on a sunny slope of the Dordogne valley, where the fast-flowing waters of the Glane river run, dominated by the village of Servières-le-Château, renowned for its architectural heritage.
The Salins Waterfall
A very pleasant short walk to discover the Salins waterfall, the Monzola stream and the village of Salins, mostly in the shade of the undergrowth. There are many points of interest along the route to keep children interested (waterfall, rope bridge, river, etc.).
The path is fully marked in blue. A huge thank you to the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Mauriac for developing and maintaining this walk.
Circular Vent Haut to Vent Bas via the Dordogne Valley in Neuvic
Cross these two hamlets south of Neuvic, passing through areas where there are still "dryers" and slate-covered wells. Don't forget to take a close look at the impressive Gorges de la Dordogne.
Around Lake Marcillac-la-Croisille
