The starting point, the cemetery, is already an extraordinary place due to its circular shape.Listed as a Historic Monument since 2004, there are only three cemeteries of this shape in France.

This is a circular route designed for walking but can also be done by mountain bike or on horseback. A mix of forest tracks, farm tracks and footpaths. This walk, mainly through woodland, follows a very short section of the Way of St James. The forest is very well maintained and the paths are clean.

This lovely circular walk starting from Velleguindry-et-Levrecey takes you on a journey of discovery through a landscape typical of the Haut-Saône countryside, alternating between woods, valleys and small local heritage sites.The route begins in the heart of the village, near the fountain and the wash houses, reminders of its rural past. Very soon, the route climbs gently towards the Bois des Rauchots, offering a chance to immerse yourself in a peaceful, shaded forest.

Architecture and heritage starting from Moncey
This walk allows you to discover:
- Moncey Castle, former property of Marshal Moncey, who was Marshal of the Empire under Napoleon,
- the restored old centre of the village of Moncey, its old railway station and its greenway, which follows the old railway line,
- and a walk through the forest in the mountains, then across the village of Venise, with the option of walking around the lagoon to discover its flora and fauna.

Frais Puits – Les Belles Barraques – the Château Bleu
Among the natural attractions of this walk are the resurgence of the Font de Champdamoy and its pumping station, which supplies Vesoul and seven other towns (the spring has long been renowned), and the resurgence of the Frais Puits, which has been the subject of numerous explorations by cave divers who found mammoth molars there!
The wind turbines and the old iron mines
This route takes you to the Cendrey wind turbines and the old iron mines of Rougemontot, ending at an ancient Roman road.

La Tour des Bois, starting from La Tour-de-Sçay
Climb the 146 steps of the Tour des Bois to discover a 360° panorama from a height of 26 metres.
A third of the route is through woodland and the rest follows a track through the wind farm, one of the largest in France, which is shared between Rougemont, La Tour-de-Scay and Autechaux, in the Central Doubs. On clear days, you can see 36 of the farm’s 43 wind turbines from the top of the tower.
Villers-le-Sec, Essernay and Les Miroudots route
An easy walk with little elevation gain, mostly in the shade of the woods. Passes by the Essernay chapel and a few beautifully restored old farmhouses. A route best enjoyed on a hot day.
The Camp de César Trail
A short nature trail just a stone's throw from Vesoul.
Along the way: plateau, viewpoint, listed village, chapel, forest paths.
The Fort de la Dame Blanche
From the town hall in Vieilley and its beautiful wash house fountain, you will climb towards the line of ledges overlooking the Ognon valley to reach the Fort de la Dame Blanche viewpoint over the Vosges, hopefully without encountering that unsettling woman who haunts these places after dark. Then, from the old fortifications, you’ll descend via a wild path towards the valley.
Colombine Valley
Colombe-lès-Vesoul, perched on the edge of the limestone plateau, overlooks the green and narrow Colombine valley. The 18th-century castle marks the entrance to the old village.
The Clog of Frotey
A short walk that allows you to discover a geological curiosity, the Sabot.
Through the woodland to the River Ognon at Voray-sur-l’Ognon
This circular route starts from Voray, Place de l’Église. You can also enjoy the water sports on offer along the banks of the Ognon (canoeing and kayaking, swimming).

This route forms a circular route shaped like a butterfly. It starts at the church in Voray and passes through the villages of Buthiers, Villers-le-Temple, Breurey, Boult, Montarlot-les-Rioz, La Lotière and Boulot.Discover the cultural heritage of the Haute-Saône region with the castles of Buthiers, Boult and Boulot.
From the Madone de Dampvalley to the Veuvey spring
The route passes by the Madone de Dampvalley, descends to Dampvalley-les-Colombe, then follows the Colombine to the Veuvey spring (karst resurgences) and returns via the plateau.

This circular route starts in Boulot, at the Au Zinc bar-restaurant.
Enjoy your walk with family or friends, passing by Boulot Castle, the Golot Fountain and the covered wash house in Boulot, which is decorated during festivals.
The Ognon Valley via Geneuille and Cussey
This route will allow you to discover the countryside and woods of the villages of Geneuille and Cussey-sur-l'Ognon.
The route is not difficult and follows well-marked paths and forest roads.
