Car park near the lake
(S/E) Take the small bridge between the swimming pool and Lac de la Faïencerie. Walk along the lake on the swimming pool side and take the stairs on the left to reach Rue de la Faïencerie.
Take this street on the right until you reach the water tower.
When you reach the main street, turn left, then opposite the school, turn right onto Rue du Paradis.
(1) 100 metres after the wash house, turn right onto Rue du Tacot and follow it for about 400 metres.
At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue de Noirfond and continue to the motorway bridge.
(2) Go under the bridge, turn right onto Route des Fontenis towards the orchards.
Turn left onto the concrete path and 50 metres further on, turn left again, then right onto Rue Alexandre Graham Bell for about 300 metres.
(3) Continue straight ahead on the old Tacot road until you reach the village of Trésilley, about 2.5 km away.
(4) At the first houses in the village of Trésilley, turn left onto Rue de la Gare to reach the village square.
(5) At the junction with the D5 road (Rioz-Fondremand), go up opposite, along the Route de Montarlot (D33) for about 800 metres.
(6) Turn left onto a gravel path straight into the forest.
After 1.5 km, continue left (there is a marker buried in the middle of the path). Be careful, there is a steep descent!
(7) Continue straight ahead for 1 km, leaving the small signs for Rioz on your left and continuing straight ahead.
When you reach the Rioz-Montarlot road, turn left for 60 m, then right onto a tarmac road.
(8) Go through the barrier and turn left. After 100 metres, take a path on the left into the Bois de la Hye. Follow the winding path to discover the four chasms. Then continue straight ahead for 300 metres.
(9) 150 metres further on, on the left, discover the Source des Ermites. Continue along the path for about 2 kilometres.
(10) Just before the bridge with the D15 road, 10 metres away, turn left and follow the Buthiers river for 600 metres towards Rioz.
Climb a staircase and immediately turn right. Follow the N57 to the bridge.
After the bridge, immediately turn left onto a path that continues along the N57 for about 80 metres.
(11) Turn right onto the old Tacot road in the cutting.
At the first houses in Rioz, continue straight ahead to reach Place du Souvenir Français.
(12) Then turn right onto Rue Jules Jeanneney and at the stop sign, take Rue Henri Friard opposite, which leads back to the lake (S/E).
