Description of the walk

(S/E) From the village square, keep the church on your right and go straight on. Turn right onto Rue d’Agélène, then right again onto Rue de la Béquinière. Pass two junctions and you’ll come to a third fork.

(1) Turn right towards the edge of the woods and continue until you reach a 90° left-hand bend. Keep going straight ahead until you reach a fork with a white path.

(2) Leave the ridge and take a forest track to the right, keeping to the right until you exit the woods. The path turns into a farm track, leading you back to the village; continue straight ahead.

(3) At the stop sign, turn left onto the main road, then head up Rue de la Chaille on your right. Pass the sheepfold on your right as the view over the Ognon valley opens up. Then continue straight on and enter the woods.

(4) Shortly after entering the Bois du Chanois, turn right and then left at the next two junctions. Follow the ridge of Mont du Chanois, then at the end, turn right to head back down to the village. You’ll arrive at a viewpoint overlooking the village

(5) After leaving the woods, take a small grassy path on your right, which offers a lovely view of the village and its Comtois bell tower.

(6) At the end of the path, turn left and then immediately right to reach the town hall square (S/E).

I say it's not very popular, but I think it must be more successful in the summer.
However, well done to the person who put it on Visorando because the route is impeccable and very well marked.
It's not often that you encounter no difficulty in finding your way.

An excellent route for families, with signposts at every junction, often repeated, so you can't get lost
i consider it easy, enjoyable and suitable for everyone
