Fondremand: this charming little town in the Franche-Comté region is ideal for a short route with family or friends. The route starts at the visitor car park at the village entrance on the Maisières side. Along this route, you’ll find the Source de la Romaine at the foot of the castle with its imposing keep, which, according to a recent archaeological study, probably dates fromthe 14th century. Austere and imposing, it stands as a testament to medieval architecture. It has inspired many artists and remains the town’s symbol, alongside the15th–16th-century kitchen and the oratory from the same period.
