Blue Circle markings
(S/E) The starting sign is located at Loulans-Verchamp Town Hall. Head towards Rue Jean Lardy on your left, then go up Rue de l’École on the right and continue until you reach a small passageway on the right.
(1) Take this path, which leads up Rue des Vignes. Then turn left to reach Chemin du Buisson Rond, which is on your right. At the school, take the white path branching off to the left. Follow this path until it joins the green path.
(2) Turn left, then turn right into the forest until you reach the white path, where you’ll turn right and follow it to its end in the Bois de Lajus.
(3) Keep left in the forest, then turn left at the end of the path to reach the Bois de la Dame junction.
(4) You will have a choice of two options. If you turn right, this is the short route, taking you to the village of Loulans-Verchamp, making the route 13 km long. If you turn left, you will complete the circular 17 km route, passing through the villages of Maussans and Larians-Munans
For the full circular loop, follow the path through the Bois de la Dame until you come out the other side.
(5) Once out of the woods, turn right to reach the village of Maussans. In the village, turn left, then take the second right to reach the Grande Rue, where you’ll head right. On leaving the village, turn right into Rue des Craies. Continue straight on until you reach the Ferme des Pelleviers.
(6) Turn left, then cross the D31 with care and enter the Bois de Fougerolles. Take the second small path on the left, which leads down to the banks of the River Ognon. Please note: this path is narrow and can be slippery in both dry and wet weather. Follow the river until you reach the village of Larians-Munans.
(7) Once in the village, cross the D25 with care and take the path to the right of the football ground. Continue along this path to the church, where you go up the street on the right to reach the Route de Munans, 25 m by turning left, then right until you reach the road. Then, turn left towards the Petit Bois.
(8) Turn right onto this path until you reach the white track. Turn left and continue to the road, where you turn left, then onto the white track which continues straight ahead. When you reach the junction of the white tracks, turn right, then take the next left. Further on, turn right into the fields, then go under the old railway bridge to reach Avenue de Guiseuil. Go straight on into Rue de la Vierge and take the first right to reach Guiseuil church and the Sentier des Morts.
(9) Behind the church, take the path to the right of the cemetery until you reach the Route de Cenans, D82. Follow it to the right and continue to the Stop sign, then turn right. Once you have crossed the bridge over the Linotte, take the second right and you will arrive at the town hall (S/E).
