This route will introduce you to some iconic works by François Desportes, a painter little known to the general public who was born in Champigneulle. He was the animal and hunting scene painter for several kings. Enjoy exploring the village streets.

The official name of the circular route is: "Variant of the Two Ponds Trail" The variant of the Two Ponds mountain bike trail is an ideal nature trail for fitness enthusiasts and thrill-seekers. Mainly set in woodland, it alternates between fast-flowing paths, technical sections and short climbs that put your legs to the test. A true adventure crossing the entire Croix aux Bois National Forest from north to south, you’ll discover rugged landscapes and numerous small springs. A challenging trail, with a fairly significant elevation gain and technical sections.

The Deux Étangs mountain bike trail is an ideal nature route for sports enthusiasts and thrill-seekers. Mainly set out through the forest, it alternates between fast-flowing paths, technical sections and short climbs that put your legs to the test. A true adventure crossing the entire Croix aux Bois State Forest from north to south, you’ll discover rugged landscapes and numerous small springs.

Starting from Doulcon, you will discover the typical landscapes of the Meuse coast. A detour through the pretty village of Mont-devant-Sassey has some beautiful architectural surprises in store for you! You will then reach the village of Sassey-sur-Meuse via the coast before reaching Dun-sur-Meuse and then Doulcon via the towpath along the navigable Meuse. Passing through four municipalities: Dun-sur-Meuse, Doulcon, Mont-devant-Sassey and Sassey-sur-Meuse, you can start your walk from any of them. You can also split this walk to shorten it or avoid the forest during the hunting season.

Starting from Sivry-les-Buzancy, the trail winds through fields and villages, passing through Bayonville and Imécourt, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The highlight of the route, Landreville Castle, reveals itself as you walk, adding a touch of heritage to this accessible and rejuvenating hike. Ideal for lovers of nature, tranquillity and local discoveries.

The Sentier de la Demoiselle is an invitation to escape for nature lovers and keen walkers. Mostly forested, it winds under the canopy of trees and offers a cool and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a change of scenery. Quite demanding in places, it rewards walkers with access to the Étang de la Demoiselle, a true haven of tranquillity nestled in the heart of the woods. An ideal route for combining effort, calm and immersion in nature. The GPX track is required.
