Parking lot at Parc de la Roche Redonne under the pine trees in La Ciotat.
(S/E) We take the track heading north-west, which is a continuation of the Roche Redonne path.
(1) Turn right to descend towards Vallat de Roubaud and join Chemin des Carrières, following it to the left for 300 metres.
(2) Turn right onto the Vallat des Brusquières track. Follow this track uphill, continuing straight ahead until you reach the Route des Crêtes (D 141). Note that the GPS route is slightly different from the route on the map.
(3) Head up to the right along the road for 300 m to admire the view from the Belvédère des Calanques.
(4) Then follow the path on the left that runs along the Falaises Soubeyranes straight south.
(3) Continue south. It is a series of roller coaster-like hills with fantastic views.
(5) Here you can enjoy the shade of the trees for a picnic. Continue south-east, still enjoying the beautiful scenery.
(6) Enjoy one last panoramic view, then descend to the left along the Route des Crêtes for 300 metres.
(7) This path on the left will take us to the caves, the stone arch and the Dent du Chat.
After about 350 m, the path turns 180° to the right, just before the Baou Rous trail (which you can climb via a round trip of about one kilometre).
(8) Be careful here, as there is a difficult scree slope to descend, but you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the stone arch, the Dent du Chat and the Baou Rous on your left.
(9) Pass by the Terravaine Arch and the accessible caves on the right and descend towards Dent du Chat, which you will leave on your left.
(10) Turn left to begin the descent that will take you to Chemin de la Roche Redonne, which you should follow to the right.
(1) Continue straight ahead towards the car park (S/E). Note: there are old quarries along the way.
(S/E) You will find your car in the car park, which will have filled up since the morning with many families enjoying the coolness of the pine trees and the wooden tables and benches scattered throughout the park.
