Above Bozel, head for the hamlet of La Cour, cross it to reach the Pont du Ruisseau du Jovet

(S/E) From the car park, walk up the valley, keeping the Ruisseau du Jovet stream on your left, until you reach the Les Perrières
intersection ( 1

).
(1) Continue climbing towards Grand Rey and join the pastoral track.
(2) Climb up the track for a short distance to go around the buildings on the right.
(3) Leave the track and take the path that passes above the buildings, following it to Petit Rey.
(4) Cross the path and continue towards Mont Jovet along the trail, then rejoin the pastoral track.
(5) Follow the track for about 150 metres until you reach a large bend to the left at the bottom of the valley.
(6) Leave the track and take a small path on the right that leads to the Mont Jovet refuge.
(7) From the refuge, climb right up an obvious route to Mont Jovet.
(8) From the summit, descend the ridge via the path on the right to Pas des Brebis.
(9) Turn south-west to descend towards the refuge. After about 250 metres, leave this direction and take a path further to the left to join a wider track.
(10) Descend gently along this path to rejoin the route you have already taken. Walk a few metres along the downhill track and rejoin the start of the path on the right.
(5) Follow this path and retrace your steps to return to the Pont du Ruisseau du Jovet
