A lovely, easy route with a section in the woods, stream crossings and a passage near the Villefranche-Tarare aerodrome, which can be quite busy at weekends and therefore generate some noise. A pleasant view of the Beaujolais mountains and the golden stone villages.

Loop between Ville-sur-Jarnioux and Jarnioux
From Ville-sur-Jarnioux, take the Voie du Tacot to Jarnioux and return via small paths. This is an easy walk with beautiful views of both villages.

From Vieux Ternand to the chapel of Ronzière
This route allows you to discover Old Ternand, a superb medieval fortified village perched on a peak. Halfway along the route, you can admire the Ronzière chapel and the adjoining property before passing by a pond with water lilies. This route can complement the very interesting circular Heritage Loop through Ternand, Saint-Paule and Saint-Laurent d'Oingt. Starting from Old Ternand allows you to visit it at your leisure after the hike. You can spot this rocky peak in the distance if you go on other hikes in the area.
Brou Forest in Ternand
This loop, starting from the old village of Ternand, winds its way through the vineyards of the Beaujolais region and the deep Brou forest.
The circuit begins with a visit to the pretty medieval village of Ternand.
The route follows small roads and easy paths and offers beautiful views of the surrounding Beaujolais mountains, from Létra to Oingt.
In the Land of Golden Stones
A hike that follows paths and little-used roads through the Pierres Dorées region in the Beaujolais area near Lyon. Between vineyards and meadows, this route takes you to charming villages, castles, wash houses, mission crosses and more. An ideal walk in spring, autumn (when the vineyards are ablaze with colour) and winter.
Circular Bully and Pierres Dorées starting from the Agamy Wine Cellar
Departure from the Agamy Cooperative Winery for a walk along the trails of five communes: Bully, Sarcey, Le Breuil, Chessy and Saint-Germain-sur-Arbresle. We are in the Pierres Dorées region of Beaujolais, with its hamlets such as Apinost and its wash house, the village with its school, castle, town hall and church. Continue to the hamlet of Montagny, the Crêt de Montgiron with its vineyards and, finally, the magnificent hamlet of Glay with its beautiful golden stones from the nearby quarries (which can be visited).
Crêt Courrier and Rebaisselet Stream
The main attraction of this hike is the long path that follows the Ruisseau de Rebaisselet stream for 5 km. The first part climbs through vineyards and small woods, then the path plunges into the Ruisseau de Rebaisselet valley. Yves Duteil's song will come to mind and stay with you, as there are many small wooden bridges to cross from one bank to the other. This is a little-used route with the option of extending it to the Col du Joncin.
Loop starting from Charnay
Charnay, a village in the Pierres Dorées region, is located in the Beaujolais area, 20 km from Lyon and 12 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône. Perched at an altitude of 450 m, the village is surrounded by the communes of Alix, Belmont, Saint-Jean des Vignes, Morancé and Marcy. A short hike along paths and little-used roads

This is a large loop offering several views of the Lyon area and, on a clear day, even Mont Blanc and the Alps. You will also discover the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées (Oingt, Le Bois d'Oingt, Moirée, etc.) and part of the Tarare Mountains. No major difficulties to expect, the route passes along forest tracks, trails and a small section of tarmac (D629, very little traffic).

Crêt d'Arjoux from Ancy
The region has prehistoric and ancient remains, particularly from the Gallo-Roman period. Two temples are said to have existed, one on the Arjoux mountain and the other, dedicated to Jupiter, near the Mas Saint-Jean.
Silver mines were worked nearby in the 15th century.
Route of crosses starting from Ancy
A circular route starting from Ancy, marked with crosses, rolling hills and views of the Beaujolais and Lyonnais mountains, alternating between balcony paths and shaded forest trails. Some tarmac sections, visit to a cheese producer. Picnic area available in a peaceful spot. Option to climb to the summit of Mont Popey at the end of the route.
