Hasfield walks

This nice little pub walk goes along River Serven before going up to Sandhurst Hill and trig point. Along the way you will be able to enjoy many views of the countryside and if you are lucky you can even spot some rabbits, squirrels, birds and other little surprises if you keep your eyes wide open.

The River Severn provides a focus for this walk which starts from the attractive town of Tewkesbury with its wonderful Abbey. The outward route follows the Severn Way following the river to reach Apperley. Here the walk turns inland and continues across fields to Deerhurst and back to the start. The walk also offers good views to the Malvern Hills which line the western skyline.

This circular walk first leads to a great viewpoint from May Hill before you follow a section of Wysis Way and quiet paths in Newent Woods.

This circular walk uses a section of Cotswold Way with great views of Cheltenham from Leckhampton Hill which is an impressive Iron Age hillfort! Then you will use paths and tracks inland close to Coberley and South Hills.

A circular walk through two beautiful Cotswold villages past an Alpaca herd or two. Look out for more animals in the parkland near Cowley and head over the hill and down through the valley of sheep. Beautiful in May when the hawthorn is in flower. If you are lucky you'll spot orchids on the downs too.

A waymarked riverside walk in the Worcestershire countryside. Eckington Wharf is a pleasant place to linger for a while, enjoying the view up river towards Bredon Hill, or watching elegant swans glide beneath the arches of the medieval bridge spanning the River Avon. The wharf is also the ideal starting point for a delightful and undemanding walk which takes you alongside the river to Strensham Lock before returning through Eckington village.

A short, one-way stroll down into Stroud for sightseeing, shopping or to visit the Farmer’s Market. Return the same way, or by car or taxi.

After a level stroll above the Painswick Valley, this route drops to cross the stream then climbs to the popular Edgemoor Arms. It then joins the Cotswold Way for an extended promenade along the wooded escarpment, including a visit to the fine viewpoint of Haresfield Beacon.

A climb to Wickridge for views of Stroud, followed by a level section and then descent with further fine views to Painswick. After climbing to the town, the return is along the stream and then on a mostly level path along the valley. The walk can be extended to Painswick House and gardens.

The Millennium Way is a fantastic 100 mile long distance trail across the Heart of England. It was created in the year 2000 by 41 Club, which is for ex Round Tablers. If you are new to walking or a seasoned pro, this beautiful long distance trail has something to offer everybody. Crossing the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, this is a walk that simply cannot be rivalled.

The walk starts from the ancient Pershore Bridge, follows the River Avon for a short section and offers pleasant woodland and open countryside with only gentle inclines. For the first half of the walk you will be guided by our distinctive green and white waymarkers. This is the short version of walk 41 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.
