Geville walks

This pleasant circuit crosses the communal forest of Foug from the Savonnières farm.

This lake is a reserve with sensitive natural environments, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.It is a wild environment except on its northern shore, where there are leisure centres that are very pleasant during the summer months, but don't be put off by the crowds and don't hesitate to pay for parking.

Classified as a Regional Nature Reserve, the Lachaussée pond has remained in its natural state. Many birds have made their home here or stop here during their migration. It is a haven of peace for flora and fauna. Please note that it is forbidden to leave the existing paths, particularly around the ponds, as you may be liable for a heavy fine.

This trail was marked out by young people from Millery and Autreville-sur-Moselle in July 2013 to enable anyone who wishes to discover it, with signposts and nesting boxes built by the young people to protect certain species of birds. A memorial hike on a site where very deadly battles took place between February and April 1915, considered by some historians to be a prelude to the Battle of Verdun (nearby), which was triggered a year later. Several monuments and numerous remains mark the route, including impressive craters left by huge explosions.

Complete tour of the cliffs overlooking the commune of Messein, following them along the top and at their foot. Beautiful views of the natural evolution of the sedimentary massifs. Caution is advised on the cliff edge.

This is an opportunity to rediscover our region and our local saints throughout the Vosges department. Each itinerary can be done independently of the others, at any time of year. This is an easy hike, passing by the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Cité d'Affrique, mainly in the woods, offering beautiful views of the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Moselle valley, and allowing you to explore the ruins of the Cité (also known as Camp) d'Affique, a Gallic archaeological site dating from the early Iron Age, around 500 BC. Between nature and heritage, cross the Graoully Forest, descend into the "Fond de la Gueule", discover the mysterious Saint-Clément Chapel and its altar, small cliffs, the Rocher de la Pucelle, and end your walk at the Benedictine abbey of Gorze and its abbey palace.

A beautiful circuit along the Mosel through the charming villages bordering it, namely: Jouy-aux-Arches, Corny-sur-Moselle, Novéant-sur-Moselle, Dornot and Ancy-sur-Moselle.

A short, mostly shaded walk on the hill overlooking the pretty village of Augny.

A superb walk in the woods of Châtel-Saint-Germain and Rozérieulles. Walk through the enchanting ruins on the heights of Châtel, pass by the Jeanne d'Arc and François de Guise Fortified Groups built by the Germans, and admire the magnificent Hêtre des Batailles (Battle Beech) and a few graves from the 1870 war.

Loop around Mont Saint-Quentin, starting from Col de Lessy, through the villages of Lorry and Vigneules, via Ferme Saint-Maurice, Notre-Dame du Gros Chêne and Châtel-Saint-Germain.

Enjoy a breath of fresh air on the heights of Mont Saint-Quentin, starting from the Col de Lessy. Cross the plateau to the Saint-Georges farm, then Vazelle, and return via Lessy

The inspiring hill is rich in history and geology and is a geographical landmark in this area known as the Saintois.

Discover the slopes of the Moselle AOC by bike through the vineyards and cellars of our local winegrowers in the Metz region, with stops at Robert Schuman's house, the Gallo-Roman aqueduct and the memorial to the Battle of Dornot-Corny. The return journey will follow the Voie Bleue along the banks of the Moselle. Warning: this route is quite technical, especially on the way there, and uses stony paths. It can be dangerous in wet conditions, so don't forget your protective gear and take care.
