Park near the church in Pagny-sur-Meuse.
(S/E) Walk up past the church and join the Chemin sur le Canal. Turn right onto it, then continue left onto the Chemin Blanc, which runs above the canal. At the end, you’ll reach a junction where two paths meet
(1) Leave the path towards Sur le Mont on your right. Take the one on the left, which overlooks the Meuse valley and Troussey. Pass under the high-voltage power line and then through the railway tunnel. You’ll come to a mast, then walk alongside the Bois du Juré. Further on, you’ll reach a four-way junction.
(2) Turn left onto a dirt track. Leave the forest and head back down towards the railway line and the canal. Just before reaching the Croix Maury, turn left and take the small road that passes under the railway line and the canal. You will arrive opposite a property with horses. Cross the Marne-Rhine Canal.
(3) Take the path leading uphill to the right, joining the towpath (do not take the parallel path below). Follow the Marne-Rhine Canal, crossing the Mazagran canal bridge over the Meuse.
(4) Turn left onto the small path and head back down towards the Meuse before turning right. Take the path that climbs alongside a copse. At the sewage treatment plant, turn left onto the path that leads back down towards the Meuse. The path turns right and leads to Troussey. Enter the village and follow the Grande Rue to the fortified church of Saint-Laurent.
(5) Turn left, cross the church square, walk past the church entrance and join a path running alongside the Meuse. Turn left again, returning to the village entrance.
(6) Turn right onto the D36C. Cross the Meuse. After the bridge, take the small road opposite and leave the D36C, which turns left. Continue to a picnic area with a wash house.
(7) Just after the wash house, take the path climbing up to the right and join the towpath. Turn right and follow the canal to Pagny-sur-Meuse. Just before entering the village, leave the path to the river landing stage on your left, take the small tarmac slope and head towards the church (S/E).
