Forcelles-sous-Gugney walks

The inspiring hill is rich in history and geology and is a geographical landmark in this area known as the Saintois.

To return to the starting point, head towards Circourt by following the road (D39) to the right, then turn left into Rue de la Chapelle, which passes in front of the church, and continue straight on along the road that extends from it to join the D39a. Cross it to find the path you took at the start and follow it to the left to return to the car park.

A pleasant walk starting from Ochey, mostly through the woods, allowing you to discover a very pleasant spot, the Fontaine d'Ochey, a pretty turquoise blue resurgence, pouring out a good volume of water at this time of year (early April), but also worth seeing at other times.

This is an easy walk that follows the blue chestnut leaf markings and takes you to the Fontaine Valère fountain.

A very varied route for those who enjoy long hikes or training in the mountains or on trails. Hikers will appreciate the views, while trail runners will enjoy the alternation between flat sections and steep slopes. Complete tour of the cliffs overlooking the commune of Messein, following them along the top and at their foot. Beautiful views of the natural evolution of the sedimentary massifs. Caution is advised on the cliff edge.

This easy walk will take you to a Romanesque church rebuilt in 1870, featuring a tower and a triple nave. You can also discover a draisine that could pull small wagons, after crossing the sensitive natural area of Le Plain. This protected area is rich in flora and fauna.

A roller coaster ride around the Grand Canyon with beautiful views of Nancy, the south of the conurbation, the Vermois and the Vosges (Donon). The route is designed as two circular loops with a viewpoint in the middle. An easy section (start and finish) through the classic forest of the Plateau de Haye, but also a beautiful limestone lawn; a passage by the Fonteno stream in the heart of the old village of Houdemont and a more technical section on the hillside, with alternating flat sections and sometimes steep climbs. This is an easy hike, passing by the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Cité d'Affrique, mainly in the woods, offering beautiful views of the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Moselle valley, and allowing you to explore the ruins of the Cité (also known as Camp) d'Affique, a Gallic archaeological site dating from the early Iron Age, around 500 BC. Varangéville is the last town in France with an active mine. This mine extracts rock salt. This hike offers views of the mine facilities and the Basilica of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port.

An easy family walk around Dombasle-sur-Meurthe with varied landscapes and views.

This walk will take you through the Ban d'Uxegney National Forest, starting with the Étang de la Comtesse and its peat bog, where you can discover the little "firefly nymph", frogs, water lilies, marsh marigolds, yellow bladderwort and floating bulrush. Not to mention the sundew, which is an insectivorous plant. Throughout this walk, you will also discover the Roches d'Olima, its powder magazine and the supply canal for the Bouzey reservoir.
