(S/E) From the football stadium car park, turn right onto the road, pass a Cognac and Pineau producer, then turn right onto the small road.
(1) When you reach some houses, turn right along the Charente river and follow this path.
(2) It climbs up a road, crosses it and continues on the other side. Pass by a lock.
(3) Leave the banks of the Charente at the first path branching off to the right, after the field. Reach a few houses and a road, take it to the right, then at another junction leave the road for a path on the left which runs alongside the railway line.
(4) When you reach a road, turn right and cross the level crossing; immediately afterwards, leave the road and take a good path running alongside the railway line. A little further on, this path moves away from the railway line and leads through the vineyards, passing under the high-voltage power lines.
(5) Turn left onto the small road, then leave it on the right onto a path that runs alongside a first copse on the left and then a second on the right.
(6) Shortly after the second wood, at the junction, turn right between the vineyards. Reach a road, continue along it for two hundred metres, then leave it for a small road on the left which runs alongside a wood on the right.
(7) Go round the woodland, leaving the road for a good track. Pass under the high-voltage power lines again. Pass a first group of houses on the right.
(8) At the second small group of houses, turn left. The track veers right downhill before turning left again, almost level, and finally, at the corner of the woodland, turn right downhill until you reach the railway line. Follow it.
(9) You’ll come to a small road; turn right to cross the level crossing. Turn right onto the D423 before leaving it for a path on the left just before the small stream. Continue along this path, staying on the same side of the stream (it’s on your right), until you reach the Charente.
(10) Turn right and take the small footbridge to cross the stream. At the end of the field on the right, turn right, then a little further on turn left to pass by an old house.
Continue along this path, which becomes increasingly visible, passing a poplar grove, then rejoin the road.
(1) Then turn right, then left onto the D423 to return to the football pitch (S/E).
