Betbezer-d'Armagnac walks

Circular walking loop starting from Betbezer-d'Armagnac in the Bas Armagnac countryside in the Landes region on the border with the Gers. You will pass castles, cross vineyards, wooded valleys and hedgerows, and visit the village of Saint-Julien-d'Armagnac perched on a feudal mound. This route is marked by the Landes General Council with horizontal signs and direction changes.

An integral part of the Uby Valley nature reserve, the lake of the same name enjoys a remarkable environment in terms of its geography, flora, terrestrial fauna, birdlife and aquatic life. It covers an area of 80 hectares.

This path, running between marshes and forests, lies on the border between the departments of Gers and Landes. Before setting off along the route of the old railway line – now the Marsan and Armagnac Greenway – take a moment to appreciate the richness of our natural heritage.

A magnificent view of the cathedral and the village of Eauze. Pronounced "éauze" (with the accent on the E). Superb paths through the woods. A hike that is accessible to all. A change of scenery guaranteed. This is a pleasant walk that follows the route of the old Éauze-Montréal railway line before reaching the hamlet of Cuherche and the hillside lakes. Thirty-ninth stage of the Camino de Santiago. This stage offers a beautiful journey through the Bas Armagnac region, through a rural landscape featuring half-timbered houses, ancient oak groves, fields of maize and sunflowers, and the vineyards for which this region is renowned, with the Pyrenees mountain range as a backdrop. In wet weather, certain sections of the path through the vineyards can become very muddy and slippery.

The fortieth stage of the Way of St James. On this stage, which ends in Aire-sur-l'Adour, you leave the department of Gers and enter the Landes. You also leave behind the muddy and slippery paths to arrive, once past the town of Aire-sur-l'Adour, on the lakeside walk at Lac de Brousseau.

This route takes you through plantations of poplars, kiwis and hazelnuts alongside vineyards, dotted with copses and small ponds. The mosaic of colours and crops will also delight walkers, with views over the countryside and the villages of Cazeneuve and Eauze.

Thirty-eighth stage of the Camino de Santiago. On the agenda for this short stage: rolling countryside, vineyards, cornfields and forests, ending in the magnificent ancient town of Eauze. Take the time to enjoy this journey through the land of D’Artagnan which, in the heart of the provinces of Guyenne and Gascony, reveals gentle landscapes, symbols of a certain way of life.

Set off on a walk through the vineyards or in the shade of the woods along pleasant paths offering views of Castelnau de Fourcès.

The forty-first stage of the Way of St James. This fairly long stage takes you through the villages of Sensacq and then Pimbo before entering the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. This department is the convergence point for all routes to Santiago de Compostela. You will enjoy the landscapes of the Landes and, depending on visibility, you will have some beautiful views of the Tursan and the Pyrenees.

Discover the natural banks, the basin bordering the river, Saligues and the alluvial plain, which serve as quiet areas for birds and fish.

Along the shaded paths, you will overlook the Baïse and Osse valleys before reaching Larressingle. The former residence of the bishops of Condom has retained all the splendour of its medieval fortifications.

Starting from Château Viella, a short route through vineyards and hillsides allows you to discover the surroundings of our vineyard.

This short walk will take you through the woods around La Réunion.

This route will take you through green hillsides on ridges, in a vineyard where the rich scents of the terroir rise up. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the Pyrenees mountain range.

Located in a wooded, hilly setting, Lac de Lacoste is the ideal place for leisure and relaxation for the whole family.

Between the Douze and Auzoue valleys, the village of Lupiac, perched on a hill, is crossed by the Chemin de César, an ancient Roman road also known as the Ténarèze. A fortified village, Lupiac belonged until 1792 to the Batz family, known for the most famous of the Gascons: d'Artagnan.

Enjoy the coolness of the path along the River Osse and a stop in the village of Marambat (fortified gate) before tackling the climbs; you will then be rewarded with sweeping, magnificent views.

This short hike allows you to discover the three fountains of Sainte-Colombe from the Trinquet car park: the Huguenots fountain, then the Téoulé fountain and finally the Hounrède fountain. Please note: the trail is closed from 1 October to 30 November (hunting season).

First following the direction of the Greenwich Meridian and crossing the voluntary nature reserve, the route passes through the village of Belloc and returns via Baulat (a site rich in heritage, with mills and wash houses).
