Description of the walk

Departure: car park at the roundabout near the Moulin de Pomper (an old tide mill converted into a flea market).

(S/E) From the roundabout, head towards the old mill and take the coastal path.

GR®34markings: White and red.

(1) Follow the path that runs along this cove where the Ruisseau du Pont de Lohac stream flows (viewpoint over Anse du Moustoir). Continue along this wooded path until you reach a small road before the place known as Moulin du Pont. Follow this road for a few metres, then turn left onto the coastal path

(2) and follow it to an oyster farm.

(3) Go up to a road that goes around the farm and then turn left to rejoin the coastal path. Continue, go around a water sports centre and then walk along Anse de Moustran.
Continue along this path to Port-Blanc. The coastal path passes by a remarkable chestnut tree (12 m in circumference).

(4) Enter Port-Blanc via Chemin du Resto, which runs alongside a water sports centre. Leave the ferry terminal on your left at the roundabout and follow Allée de l'Embarcadère. At the next roundabout, turn left onto Allée Er-Lannic to rejoin the coastal path and follow it.

(5) At the oyster farm, turn right and then follow the road to the left until you reach the crossroads.

No signposts.

Take the road on the right to Kerilio. Cross the D316a and continue on the small road almost opposite. It runs alongside a campsite.

(6) At the next intersection, turn right at Keriboul towards a stone house and take the path that leaves the property on the right and joins the coastal path.

MarkedGR®34.

Turn left to follow the path you took on the way there.

No markings.

(7) At the first chicane, go up to the left, turn right into Rue Mane Rohec, then left into Ruelle An Davarn and continue straight on towards Penmern Chapel (15th century)

(8). After the chapel, continue along the road, pass Le Moulin du Pont and continue along Route de Penmern. Ignore the four car parks on the edge of the canal on the left to reach the roundabout and the car park. (S/E).

A very pleasant and well-described route with beautiful views. The first part is quieter, with lots of people around Port Blanc.

Hike completed on 23 June.
very pleasant hike. The path is not blocked between points 1 and 3, contrary to a comment in one review. However, at point 7, specify that you take a PR on the left and follow it to the bridge mill. The Penmern Chapel was open and worth a visit, which makes up for the tarmac!
At the bridge mill, we rejoined the GR to avoid the road (and the cars), which we recommend.

Well marked and superb riverside scenery.
However, the detour via the road before Port Blanc is a bit soporific, especially in bright sunlight. But that doesn't detract from the quality of the hike.

Very beautiful hike
The end is less interesting because it is on a paved road.
Well signposted and well maintained (the Baden workers were at work)

Hello
Following a municipal decree, due to dangerous trees, the path is closed between 1 and 3. It is possible to complete the route via the road, which is not very busy, but less pleasant than the coastal path.

A parish-specific to Brittany, pleasant hike planned for the morning to avoid the rain forecast for 2pm. On the way back, buy some oysters at the mill by the bridge – they're excellent.

A little tip for the start of this hike:
After the roundabout, when you arrive at the small car park with the bar on the left, wooden tables/benches on the right and the Pomper mill opposite, turn right immediately before the mill to join the GR trail.
When we arrived, there were people sitting at the tables and the small descent to the right before the mill, which leads to the coastal path, was blocked by parked vehicles, so we couldn't see the GR.
So be careful to take the path on the right before the mill. On the route map, it is clearly marked that the stream should be on your left.
