On the edge of the marsh
Taking the new paths created by the land consolidation in Montmartin-en-Graignes, this route allows you to explore the countryside on the edge of the marshes. It offers some beautiful views.

Les Romains et les Calvaires au départ de Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin
Ce territoire, facilement accessible de la côte et de l'intérieur du Cotentin par des chemins de grande randonnée constitue un trait d'union géographique entre Saint-Lô, la capitale du cheval et Coutances, Pays d'art et d'Histoire. C'est un territoire vallonné qui comprend de nombreuses zones humides (marais). Il est traversé par la voie romaine (D 535) qui reliait Abrincae, nom romain d'Avranches et Alauna, Valognes.

La vallée de la Soulles à Montpinchon
De cet endroit, nommé le Mont, vous apprécierez la vue imprenable sur la commune et ses environs, dominés par la cathédrale gothique de Coutances. Le sentier vous mènera derrière le Château de Cerisy-la-Salle, devenu Centre Culturel International. Toutes les cultures s'y rencontrent chaque année lors de colloques très prisés.
The Old Sea Wall at Brévands
Set off to explore Brévands, a picturesque little village in the Baie des Veys at the heart of the polders, rich in built and natural heritage. Walk along the dirt tracks, follow the Douve river and admire the typical buildings of the area.
The Foliata trails
This walk alternates between hedgerow paths, country lanes and forest sections, making for a pleasant, partly shaded stroll, ideal in summer. The final path, recently upgraded, leads to the lake whilst offering a lovely view of the wet heathland and La Feuillie church.
Route des 3 Valleys in Coutances
Coutances, the historic former capital of the Cotentin, offers a contrasting spectacle of countryside almost within the city. This hike takes you through the outskirts of the town, winding its way through the three valleys that surround it, each with its own lazy river. Half on land and half on roads or alleyways, the urban passages allow you to discover a small part of Coutances' heritage, despite the industrial area that spoils the pleasure a little, but you quickly forget about that.
Towards Notre-Dame de Hambye Abbey
Between Sienne and Hambyotte, this route invites you to discover the Normandy countryside via numerous sunken lanes where, in the meadows that line them, Prim'Holstein cows, originally from Holland, mingle with Normande cows, the region's emblematic breed. At the end of the route, Hambye Abbey awaits you with its13th-century chapter house.

Whale route
This picturesque little village, nestled in the heart of the Sienne Valley, will enchant you with its peaceful setting and lush greenery. Its few houses, built from local stone, surround the church. You will notice that the slopes of this valley are covered with beech trees, whose hard, uniform wood is used in carpentry and cabinetmaking, as well as simply for firewood.
Around Pointe du Hoc
An easy hike between land and sea, ending with a visit to the historic site of Pointe du Hoc.

Entre Sienne et Bérence
Ce bourg d'environ 1500 habitants charme par ses constructions de caractère et le dynamisme de ses habitants. Le parcours de randonnée vous mènera vers les méandres des deux rivières qui serpentent sur le territoire, la Sienne et la Bérence, qui font le bonheur des randonneurs comme des pêcheurs de salmonidés.
In the Picauville marshes
Picauville is surrounded by two rivers, the Ouve to the south and the Merderet to the east, and forms a peninsula in winter when the marshes are ‘white’. It rises to an altitude of 29 metres. The suggested route runs alongside the marshes before heading into the bocage along sunken lanes or ‘chasses’.
