                The climb up Grand Margès

A very beautiful hike offering magnificent views of the Sainte-Croix lake.

                The Grand Margès round trip

The climb up the Grand Margès is challenging. The round trip means you don't need two vehicles. At the summit, the panoramic view of the Lac de Sainte-Croix, the Issioule ridges, the Verdon Gorge and even the Alps is magnificent.

Lac de Sainte-Croix - Tour de Bauduen

Here I suggest a variation on a route in Bauduen that is already on the site. The start is more easily accessible for hikers coming from the north. This variation also avoids the rocky area to the north-west of the route while offering beautiful views of Lake Sainte-Croix.

                Plein Voir viewpoint

This hike leads to a stunning viewpoint over the Lac de Sainte-Croix and the Verdon Gorges.

Very surprising viewpoints from the Col de l'Âne and Col de Plein Voir passes

A magnificent, varied and challenging circular offering superb views of the Gorges du Verdon, the Pont du Galetas and Lac de Sainte-Croix, accompanied by vultures, which are very present in the cliffs.

                The Circuit of Bauduen

A very enjoyable loop on the peninsula of Bauduen alongside Lake Sainte Croix.

Very nice course with beautiful views of Lake Sainte-Croix.

                The Belvédère de Tréguier

Botanical trail leading to the Belvédère de Tréguier, with a magnificent view of the Lac de Sainte-Croix and the Ravin d'Angouire at the end

Circuit in the hills above Moustiers Sainte Marie

Moustiers Sainte Marie is worth a visit, but the route through the hills is a remarkable way to enjoy this very pleasant plateau.

Roman roads of Pays du Verdon

A hike in Pays du Verdon that takes ancient Roman roads, runs alongside an abandoned village and a chapel sheltered by rocks with magnificent landscapes.

Gorges du Verdon - Sentier Blanc-Martel

A beautiful walk up the Verdon by its bed ! A feast for the eyes from start to finish !
⚠️The Sentier Martel is not very difficult for regular walkers, but you have to be careful. However, the trickiest part is the Imbert ladders (6 ladders, 252 steps), which are difficult for hikers prone to vertigo.
The difference in altitude is overestimated. See comments at the bottom of this page

                Gorges and chapel of Baudinard-sur-Verdon

Hike along the Baudinard-sur-Verdon Gorges, on cliffs 100 to 150 m high plunging into turquoise blue water. Then return via the Museau de la Colline, offering numerous breathtaking views of the Lac de Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon, to finally arrive at the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Baudinard with its belvedere overlooking the lake. Not to mention a visit to the village of Baudinard-sur-Verdon.

The Samson Corridor tunnels and the Trescaïre towers

This round trip route takes you to the Samson Corridor, which marks the entrance to the Grand Canyon. It will take you through the tunnels of the Blanc-Martel trail to the Trescaïre viewpoint. The trail follows the Blanc-Martel trail, but is much more accessible and offers a unique experience thanks to the tunnels. The indicated elevation gain, calculated automatically, is incorrect.See the practical information section for details of the minimum equipment required.

                The Suech Plateau

Overlooking the village of Rougon and located at an altitude of over 1,200 metres, the Plateau du Suech offers beautiful panoramic views where, with a little luck, you can admire the griffon vultures of the Verdon.

Rougon via the bridges of Carajuan, Sautet and Tusset, passing through Trigance

A beautiful circular loop for admiring the Gorges du Verdon in a more intimate way and from different viewpoints. Sumptuous panoramic views of the Grand Canyon and Colle de Breïs and, of course, Point Sublime. A challenging route, well suited to trail runners: it climbs for most of the route but with a reasonable gradient. Then comes a short but fairly steep descent, which proved less difficult than it looked.

A pretty walk off the beaten path. The views are breathtaking in diverse landscapes, all from the beautiful little hilltop village of Artignosc-sur-Verdon.

This is a superb hike, perfect for a family outing. It is not particularly difficult and offers breathtaking views of the Valensole plateau, the Verdon, Lake Sainte Croix, the Southern Alps, the Baronnies and Mont Ventoux.

                Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon via the Château Chiron

A very pleasant route starting from Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon with views of the Verdon.

The Gorges du Verdon and Lake Artignosc

A splendid hike starting from the Château de Saint-Laurent-Du-Verdon, which is private property. Do not enter the château grounds.
You will walk along forest paths, skirting part of the Verdon Gorge and part of Lake Artignosc, as well as magnificent green meadows and fields of lavender in bloom from mid-June to mid-July.
This is an easy hike, ideal for beginners and occasional walkers

From the Valensole plateau to the Montpezat and Artignosc lakes

The territory of Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon stretches from the banks of the river to the Valensole plateau. What a beautiful setting for a walk between the blue of the lavender and the blue of the lakes created by the construction of the Quinson dam. And if the sky is at its best, what a symphony of blues!
