A really lovely route that’s best done in summer as there’s very little sand. In wet weather, some sections are muddy and slippery. Snow-covered tracks, dirt tracks, winding paths through the woods and a bit of sand at the end. The route passes near pidgeon hunting huts. Do not use this route during the pidgeon hunting season in October and November. Adhering to this unwritten rule helps to keep the paths open. Mutual respect between hunters, cyclists and walkers.

A short circular loop starting from Casteljaloux to reach Lac de Clarens without using the cycle path. In summer, there is an entrance charge for the lake, so you’ll need to pay the entry fee to walk around it.

A circular path following the Grande Leyre, a river which flows into the basin after joining its main tributary, the Petite Leyre. A very pretty, shaded path along a calm, wild river, with lovely scenery. Return via a pine forest. In the event of heavy rain, the path may be impassable.

Circular route in the Sierra Nevada, starting from Monachil. Steep climbs, suspension bridges and tricky sections over the river (crouching position, using metal handholds for support). Breathtaking scenery.
