The Quiraing combines both majestic mountains and the mysteries of the Isle of Skye. The landscapes are magnificent.

Glenmore Forest Park
An easy, family-friendly walk in the Cairngorms National Park.
On the rooftop of Great Britain: Ben Nevis
Here is a magnificent peak held in high regard by our British friends, Ben Nevis. This summit, though in itself not very high relatively speaking, requires a significant climb in altitude because it starts almost at sea level. During the ascent, the views are breathtaking.
Ben Ledi
A lovely Scottish summit in the Trossachs. Great for lovers of romantic landscapes and moderately sporty excursions.
Emparis Plateau from Besse-en-Oisans
This is a beautiful hike with a wide variety of landscapes ranging from pastures to glaciers that can be admired on the northern slope of the Écrins.
Message from the moderator: You are in a Sensitive Natural Area (Natura 2000) which is subject to specific regulations (see practical information).
Col du Murier – Uriage – Pinet – Murianette
This is a cycling route of moderate difficulty. It’s ideal for those who don’t want to tackle major mountain passes such as the Glandon or the Croix de Fer but still wish to complete a challenging ride with a bit of difficulty. Much of the route consists of small roads passing through tiny villages. Great for clearing your head.
Refuge de l'Étendard
This circular, which starts at the Col de la Croix de Fer and passes by the Refuge de l'Étendard, gives you a taste of the high mountain atmosphere. Snow cover persists for quite a long time after winter. This hike is best done in late August or September.
This hike can be easy in summer or difficult when there is snow (winter or spring). I did it when there was a lot of snow, which is why I consider it to be quite difficult.
Lac des Cerces and other lakes
A fantastic hike which, when the weather is fine, allows you to contemplate magnificent landscapes dotted with lakes in infinite shades of blue.
Le Crêt du Boeuf
This is a lovely walk which, although it occasionally passes close to ski lifts, is full of beautiful scenery. The views of the Pic de la Belle Etoile range are fabulous. And for those who enjoy downhill skiing in winter in the Sept Laux massif, it is great fun to see landscapes usually covered in a blanket of snow completely free of any trace of snow.
Le Platary
A snowshoe hike (also possible on foot outside the snow season) where you can admire a magnificent 360-degree landscape.
(!) Please note that during the summer grazing season, there are herds and guard dogs between (3) and (4). See Practical Information.
Les Chalets des Auges
A magnificent snowshoe hike that is relatively well known on the Glières plateau, a hotspot of the Resistance. This hike offers magnificent panoramic views.
From Corenc to the Col de Vence
An easy walk just a stone’s throw from Grenoble. Or how to go from an urban suburb to a quiet, peaceful rural area that you would never have imagined could be so close to a city.
Three castles and Sainte-Marie tour
The three châteaux in Quincié-en-Beaujolais are well worth a visit. What's more, you'll pass through a highly varied landscape of vineyards, forests and meadows.
The three châteaux trail is very well signposted and offers 4 variants of varying lengths.
Place aux Filles - Sainte-Marie
This is a lovely walk through woods and vineyards with some beautiful views. What's more, if you do this walk at the right time of day and in the right season, you may encounter a number of wild animals.
On the roof of the ridge: Psiloritis
This is an unusual hike in Crete to its highest peak. Most guidebooks describe a fairly long hike starting from the Nida plateau. After talking to local residents, we tried a shorter route. If you want breathtaking 360° views of the sea, this hike is for you, provided you are fit and have good hiking experience.
Monte Incudine in Southern Corsica
Fabulous landscapes, all manner of wildlife and wet pozzines. Add to that an enchanting silence and a magical light. That is what you will experience as you explore these Corsican mountains.
