Start opposite Carrefour Meylan.
(S/E) Continue along the cycle path towards Grenoble. Pass the Decathlon shop and you’ll come to a roundabout.
(1) Turn left. Continue along a lane partly designated for cyclists. Cross the bridge over the River Isère.
(2) Take the cycle path on the left. Follow the Isère (left bank) for about 7 kilometres, passing under a tram line and, further on, under the N87 expressway.
(3) Cycle alongside the Saint-Martin d’Hères university campus.
(4) Before the cycle path turns into a dirt track at a bend in the River Isère, turn right towards Gières, then cross the railway line.
Take another cycle path on the left which runs alongside the D523 towards Domène. Reach the first set of traffic lights at the entrance to Domène.
(5) Turn left. Continue to follow the cycle path until you reach Rue Casimir Julhiet.
(6) Turn left onto this street, continue straight on (slight descent) until you reach another roundabout.
(7) Turn right onto Avenue Aristide Bergès and you’ll come to another roundabout.
(8) Turn left and cross the bridge over the Isère.
(9) At the end of the bridge, turn right onto a cycle path that takes you under the bridge. Follow the River Isère along the cycle path (right bank) until you reach the junction signposting the direction of Grenoble.
(10) Turn right, keep right and follow the motorway for 1.5 km until you reach a passage under the motorway.
(11) Take this underpass to the left, then right, then left again. Head up Chemin des Chartreux for 500 metres.
(12) Turn left onto Chemin du Gamond, then turn left again at the first junction onto Chemin de Beauséjour, which becomes Avenue des 4 Chemins, where you’ll find another cycle path.
(13) Follow this cycle path. Cross Chemin de la Dhuy and carry on straight ahead along the cycle path. Join Chemin des Béalières.
(14) At the traffic lights, cross Avenue du Taillefer and continue along the cycle path, which curves to the left and joins Chemin Sétérées du Dessus. Ride past the retirement home and join another cycle path which runs along the right-hand side of Avenue du Vercors.
(15) Pass under Avenue du Vercors. Continue along this cycle path (which is now on the left-hand side of Avenue du Vercors) until you reach the N90 or Avenue de Verdun at the traffic lights.
(16) Cross the N90 and take the cycle path on the left.
Carry on straight ahead for a few hundred metres and you’ll reach the starting point (S/E).
