Park in the car park of the Saint François de Sales Nordic Centre at an altitude of 1,300 metres.
(S) Follow the well-marked snowshoe trail that leads to the Croix des Bergers. It starts in the forest and ends on the open plateau of Les Creusates.
(1) Our route will cross and recross the cross-country trails, bustling with the elegant ballet of skaters. This will take you to the Croix des Bergers without too much difficulty.
(2) After enjoying the scenery and the cross, head south into the valley.
(3) At the lowest point, head west into the narrow Peisse Bernard valley. After 500 metres, you will come out onto a wide open space. Head south up the slope, which is a fairly short steep climb that passes close to two chalets and leads to a marked trail.
(4) Follow this marked snowshoe route westwards, which will take you gently to the teepees, hidden in a large clearing. Refreshments are available at the teepees.
(5) To return, take the same route back, but this time without passing by the Croix des Bergers. Follow the marked trail, which will take you back to the cross-country ski trails in the Gralette chalet area.
(6) Go around the chalets on the left.
(7) Cross a track and rejoin a path, pass a chalet, begin the descent into the forest, cross a track, then join the outward route.
(8) Continue to follow the marked route, punctuated by yellow signs pointing towards the car park of the Saint François de Sales cross-country ski centre (E).
